shows like Good Omens and Our Flag Means Death just breached that barrier, you know? Stepped over that boundary and had their male actors kiss on screen with the backup of an entire love-story that makes it impossible to interpret the kisses as anything other than Love (unless you're doing olympic grade mental gymnastics)
Yes, we have LGBTQ+ shows, but they're about LGBTQ+ issues, and that's cool. Those shows absolutely have a place.
But!
Shows like GO and OFMD aren't categorized as LGBTQ+. They're not about queer issues like coming out and so on.
OFMD is a comedy about a gentleman who wants to be a pirate.
Good Omens is a fantasy drama comedy.
And they have queer main characters in them that are in love and kiss and that's so. damn. cool
i posted this on twitter already and am posting it here, too just a lil story about egypt, featuring some good drunk snek faces This is from my Patreon, which is still ongoing (although I took this week off due to eye problems. Eyes are important for drawing, yknow)
"what are you a cop" is bookaziraphale's entire mindset btw. "is it very angelic to hoard books and be mean to customers" what are you a cop? "should you really be married to your adversary" what are you a cop? "should your husband be parking his car there" ah you ARE a cop. explodes your ticket notebook with his mind. like in his mind if the lord herself doesn't come down to tell him off he's doing just fine. because he's doing it. and if she DOES come down (where is the flaming sword I gave to thee) well then. what is she a cop
no so true. in fact I think this was a key experience in his conviction that he is correct about everything ever. after all she did not ask him again
book Crowley: you’re an angel, you can’t do the wrong thing book Aziraphale: you are absolutely right. everything i do *is* the right thing book aziraphale really took ‘do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law’ and ran with it
Neil Gaiman: Crowley sits alone in the dark listening to Pale Blue Eyes by the Velvet Underground Me: ok, so, within the context of the story, that means
i love this metaphor and it's been driving me nuts

when you download a pdf and it's called like 1328723486basdf12.pdf but then you gently rename it to what it's supposed to be. that's forming a bond with a hurt and wild mythological creature and reminding it who it is.
I love u narrative songs 💖💖💖
Too many generic love songs not enough songs about one specific ass situation
