In the anime Jonathan’s body didn’t just restrict DIO’s vampire power, it apparently also pulled back his vampire physiognomy - namely, the fangs;

When P1 DIO is a perfect vampire, his fangs are long and notable, to a point where they are sometimes even shown sticking out of his mouth (very cute)

But then when you watch him during the majority of SDC, you can clearly see that, with a few exceptions, the fangs are generally much smaller and thinner, oftentimes barely even notable

Would you call these vampire fangs? I would not call these vampire fangs.

Upon closer inspection (DANGEROUS - do not attempt), you can tell that they are certainly there, but they are just.. really not very impressive when you know what they USED to be like.

Look at these beautiful pointy pearly whites!! Now THOSE are vampire fangs!!

The level of impressiveness changes, however, once he becomes High DIO and gains a huge physical power-up and better control over Jonathan’s body, which also returns his fangs to a proper beastly state, as they should be.
