strongly recommend this book!!! it's VERY us-centred, but still an interesting and excellent book- don't read it if you think descriptions of transphobic discrimination (institutional, interpersonal, etc.) will upset you, but i personally found the descriptions of how they were overcome heartening :)

I love trans men btw. I love trans women as well. I love trans PEOPLE period. Us against each other is the worst outcome that could happen right now. Stay strong and support each other. I'm genderqueer transmasc, but usually only tell people genderqueer. a toxic ex of mine tried to unconsentually forcefem me into being a woman bc they "didn't agree with genderqueer" and thought I should be fem bc I was born female. when I tried to explain I preferred being masc, they told me i "didn't understand gender identity yet"
