I was at a comic-con this weekend. Saw a table in the artist alley where someone was selling dinosaur-themed Pride pins and the display had one of the Blue action-figures standing over it wearing a rainbow neck-kerchief and a sign that said "I only bite homophobes." It made me think of you.

So excited to hear there's news on a rebirth sequel but I still can't get over how much everyone acts like that movie was so bad. It was better than Dominion

And you know what I do think it's funny that they're deflecting the fact the weird dinos in Rebirth are hybrids by calling them "mutants" instead. As if that was the problem with the last trilogy and not all the bullshit that happened in Dominion.

if I was in charge of rebirth 9 when the jurassic world trilogy cast inevitably returns I would make it so one of the rebirth crew goes “is that owen grady?! famous raptor behaviorist?!” upon their arrival and owen would appear with longer hair and go “ah. it’s actually olivia now” and i would never address it again in the movie and write it normally. I would forcibly retcon owen grady as a trans woman thus recontextualizing every earlier movie and enjoy all of the articles celebrating first trans women main character in the franchise. and I would also enjoy all of the articles speculating on of this makes claire the first lesbian lead of the franchise. I would never comment on it publicly but I would like posts on twitter saying she obviously is implicitly giving my confirmation that she is indeed a lesbian.

i'm not incredibly surprised that the average person can't handle brooklynn because the average person can't even handle claire. the morally gray woman who's arc is handed to you on a silver platter. for babies. the entire first movie centers around her realizing that how she's behaving is wrong and evil, and that she's fully responsible for what happened thus it's her duty to fix it. so naturally she changes into someone who wants to fix it in the following years. but somehow that's "off-screen development". and then the next movie beats you over the head even harder with how she's only doing this to atone for her actions at the park. and that's still "off-screen development". not, like. extremely straight forward on-screen development. 1 + 1 = 2 ass arc
