MASSIVE UPDATE PLEASE READ!!! (TL;DR at end)
HI HI HI OKAY SO RIGHT TO THE POINT. I know a lot of you started following me for the Villain Kids Au and are still wanting more content, well even before that au I always HCed Violet as a bit of a modern witch idk she just always felt like someone who would dabble in that stuff to me. However recently I have been informed by a Jewish person that having Jewish characters in association to witchcraft isn’t a good idea especially if I’m not Jewish (which I am not) as there's a bad history behind that with negative connotations. I genuinely didn’t know this was an issue as witches come in so many different religious beliefs and I have actually met many Jewish witches. But it makes sense that if it is a thin line that it’s not one I accidentally wanna cross and hurt or upset people. SO I’m dropping my Violet hc all together and I’m prob just gonna pick a diff character to witch project on lol.
As for the au you all know that originally I stuck Violet with Magica. This is because every kid was assigned a villain that somehow related to them or their story. I put Violet with Magica because she’s honestly the only villain Violet interacts with. However, I can no longer keep this part of the au. Now the most obvious choice is to just switch Lena and Violet’s roles however that just doesn’t feel right to me. I didn’t wanna stick Lena with Magica from the beginning because I knew it would not only be boring but almost an insult to her character and what this au can do. So I have decided I’m gonna wait till season three comes out and more episodes have been released till I continue the au.
I REALLY AM SORRY! I know a lot of you look forward to this au and I know I’ve been slack on it due to work, school, stress, and just general low motivation. I really do love this au and I don’t want it to die it means so much to me because this au really jump-started my blog and brought me all to you lovely people! However, I morally can’t continue the au like it is whilst knowing the damaging impact it could cause on any Jewish people who might follow or come across my content.
In all truth, I wanted to wait till season three anyways, as I really wanna add Gos to this au and I can’t without getting more info on her (also might add Boyd now that he’s in the show too but we’ll see). I also think that waiting will give me personally more time to flesh out the au even more than it already is and that way it can be EVEN BETTER for everyone!!
And finally, if I ever, EVER do anything or say anything that could hurt a group of people or any sort of culture please please PLEASE tell me!! I want to be a safe space for people and the last thing I want is to accidentally upset or hurt anyone! I know that I sometimes make mistakes in that area because sadly the people who raised me taught me wrong and I know I gotta relearn some stuff so please help me in these moments. I have no malicious intent for anyone and I do so want to be kind and caring but I understand to do that I have to be openminded and openhearted to everyone! So again please please please correct me if I ever make a mistake.
And one more thing. If you’re disheartened about the hiatus on the Villain Kids au just know that there's so much more to come! I promise this blog is never dead even if it sometimes goes a bit quiet! I still have the DuckSwap au I made with my lovely friends Saturn and Kris and I’m also working on something else too because I’ve been taking my daily Loving Minima juice. I’m also always happy to interact and talk with all of you about not just Ducktales but anything Disney and or Animated!! I love you all so so much and thank you so much for understanding!!
