I’ve sent multiple reports before but I guess they aren’t working. If you or any other mod are able to please remove the “peachyspolitics” person from the transid experience because on her profile she openly expresses far right ideologies and nobody else has mentioned it.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! It looks like she was removed from the community a couple days ago with a warning, but she did not listen and decided to push her luck by returning. I have now banned that account from returning to the community. I'm very sorry for any issues she may have caused, hopefully she won't continue in her attempts to ban-evade.

Even though it's no longer pride month (in the US), I wanted to share an interview with Dr. Ronnie Gladden that was recorded then! Yes, I am in fact back on my Dr. Gladden podium.

For those who don't know, Dr. Ronnie Gladden (they/them) is a queer and transracial (in a trace way) public speaker and activist, one of the few transrace activists out there right now! They've written a book on their intersecting identities of being transgender and transracial, coining the term "transgracial" to better discuss their inner identity struggles with feeling as if they should be a white woman. Their book White Girl Within is about navigating those feelings.

This interviewer, Sheree Curry, is a black Jewish freelance journalist; she is a former Fortune reporter and Wall Street Journal correspondent. Though her YouTube channel is small, it's still really awesome to see some people taking trace identity seriously enough to sit down and listen to our experiences.

The interview itself isn't anything groundbreaking for those of us in transID spaces; it's a lot of identity 101 and discussing the validity of transracial identity. I still think it's worth checking out though if you're not familiar with transrace activism, but feel free to skip this one if topics like that make you uncomfortable!

The 2026 Gender Census is now open!

The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

Do you know anything about ethnickin and whitekin? Are they troll labels? /genq

I haven't heard of those terms specifically, but based on my experiences being in the otherkin Tumblr community during the mid-late 2010s I would bet that they'd be both a) terms used by trolls, and b) terms used by the newly coined (at that time) factkin subcommunity.

I'm just basing this off of my own experiences of course, but factkin itself was honestly like that in the beginning. You'd have a handful of obvious trolls alongside folks who were like "actually yeah this unironically fits me", much to the chagrin of the trolls. A similar term that I had seen floating around that time (I wanna say like 2018?) was agekin, which yes was used by trolls because they thought it was funny, but it was also used earnestly by those of us who would eventually adopt the term transage instead in the 2020s as part of the transID umbrella.

I don't see a lot of those terms used as often nowadays as the usage of transidentities gains traction, but if you're asking because you're considering them for personal usage I'd say go for it! Use whatever terms you feel most comfortable using, trolls be damned.

(please hide my username if this isn't anonymous) Hello! I wanted to say that your blog is really helpful for me. I saw your post about wanting to make a zine. Have you tried making that 8-page zine made out of folded paper? It's simple and like what's a zine is supposed to be, homemade and indie and niche. You can scan it and then share it as a png, pdf, etc. on here and itch io or something. I hope you have a good day/night, and hope your zine-making goes well!

I know I can be such a perfectionist sometimes, so I do honestly appreciate hearing how many people say they prefer the hands-on more "gritty" zines. It's so funny 'cause it's like........I agree??? And yet here I am like "nah but not me though, I gotta do something glossier than that" which yeah is definitely silly.

Unfortunately I've had to put that little project on the back burner at the moment due to my life being so busy with milestone stuff all going on, but I would love to pick it up again in the future!

I've also seen that another blog or two were also considering making a transID zine, which I would also really love to see! We gotta distribute the good word so people out there can know they're not alone and there's a community waiting for them. ₍₍⚞(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⚟⁾⁾

Cajuns are genuinely so forgotten about even in the US so it was a miracle someone made a term like transCajun.

No problem at all! :D I think that one was actually requested too, so just know there are more out there!

Also I'd say the Cajun dialect is one of my fav USA dialects fwiw.

btw i think transabled ppl should be allowed to complain about their disabilities they transitioned to

i think transamputees should be allowed to complain about phantom pain or how hard it is to get around places and do things without getting "i told yu so" as a response

transwheelchairusers should get to talk about how hard it is to find accessible places without being told "well this is what yu wanted"

transdepression individuals should talk about how hard it is to live with depression and get sympathy, not be brushed off

just becus we want these disabilities doesn't mean it'll always be sunshine and rainbows. not everyone will experience euphoria from struggling. even the things we love have downsides to them. the dream job yu finally got will have shitty coworkers or shitty experiences. yur favorite hobby might injure yu (both minor and major depending on the hobby)

if a cisabled person can be proud of their disabilities and still rant about how much it sucks then transabled individuals should be able to do it as well

I am (cis)disabled in many ways, and I just want to say my asks are open if anyone needs transition tips for any of the disabilities I have. Most are listed in my pinned post, and I'd be willing to give tips for almost any.

Hope everyone (disabled, transabled, pwBID, trisabled, etc etc.) has an amazing disability pride month.
