If doctor who was a university assignment, I would give it no more than a 2:1. Whilst it introduces intersectionality and navigates briefly the impact of the doctor's outward appearance, the way they're viewed by the world and the way their identity shifts to fit with this experience, it's never explored with a deeper, more critical lens. Jodie Whittaker's doctor faced sexism that felt half hearted and was never touched on meaningfully for more than a brief interaction. This recent display with Ncuti Gatwa's doctor in Dot and Bubble where you see him experience this unfounded discrimination for what might be, for him, the first time or at least the first time in a long while, for it to then skip to this bridgerton-esque episode where identity politics are only used superficially as a alien-luring tactic felt like a massive missed opportunity to validate and explore the lived experiences of queer people of colour and the danger they've always faced through life. It feels consistently like they're dipping their toe in the water but don't have the strength to dive in wholly. It's engaging and everlasting as a show but fails to provide the critical analysis, depth and understanding to reach those higher Grades at this current point in time.
Ive NEVER come out officially to my parents cause they practically ignored my brother when he did, I felt like I dropped hints and deliberately present myself as queer around them so they might just know it you know? I thought it was working cause my mum got me a rainbow umbrella and shit, but the other day my dad entered this state of muttering about the difficulties my brother will have with the life he's chosen and the views of the church etc etc and I was very disappointed to say the least. It made me remember why I rarely come home.

People are posting (on the 12th FEBRUARY) that they've just finished their first book of 2024. First. Do people not read anymore? I finished my first book of the year on Jan 2nd, not to brag, but I can't get my head around posting it. In february. Are you not embarrassed? You've read 1 book with probably max 300 pages in 43 days? That's like 7 pages a day? Maybe like 3 sentences. I mean I love that you're reading! Obsessed in fact, but I implore you to keep it to yourself unless you're being particularly impressive. Please. I feel myself being a bad person when you post stuff like that because I cannot control my immense judgement. And if you are gonna post such a achievement, at least give me a review of the book. A mark out of Ten, a recommend to a friend. It's useless to me if you don't and you will lower your level of respect in my eyes if you just post the cover of a book. (Especially if it's an autobiography of a reality TV star but that's another story).

I cannot express how much I hate people commenting on the amount and frequency of the food I eat, ESPECIALLY when it's a normal amount. We are lunch at 13:30, I just asked for a snack at 17:55 and my uncle goes, you're hungry already? I say, it's been hours since we ate and he said" a grand total of 3 Yes. Yes you balding prick, I am hungry, no you fuckwit it's been at least 4, I am hungry so I am eating because I recognise the luxury of being able to. Do not judge me for having 4 pringles at a sensible time, do not even judge me for eating more Pringles at a less sensible time, in fact, just don't comment on me eating at all please and thank you

I would start with the men's section. best way to get pants that aren't just women's "boyfriend style" or something. knowing your measurements and buying something with the right hip size will go a long, long way Iif the sizing intimidates you. also baggy pants can be belted.
however, if shopping in the men's section isn't an option, things like cargo pants are super trendy for everyone right now. you might be able to find pants that look pretty masc, but that less people will ask questions about if that's an issue.
budget wise, everyone says thrift stores, but depending on the strength of your local queer community, or community in general, there may be events like clothes swaps which are even cheaper.
hope this helped somewhat. my biggest hangups when I started wearing men's/masc trousers were that they wouldn't fit me right, or I wouldn't pull them off, or I wouldn't know how to style them. now I don't know how I survived in anything else. you'll get there, bud <3
