I was seeing this post for days and I knew it couldn’t be quite right. I was already sure “phylactery” was just a more archaic way of saying “amulet” but I thought maybe I was just a big dummy because I’m not Jewish, OP was so sure of themselves and anybody questioning them was just getting EVISCERATED. Now that the notes are like 200 real Jewish people saying “excuse me, what the FUCK???” It feels safe to mention that whatever OP’s intentions were, misinformation like this tends to be used by certain people to further push their “SJW Socialist Jewish Elites” conspiracy theories. Actually from what I know the word phyllactary usually stands for protectant which can translate to a teffilin but also any other thing from religions used to protect ones soul in a religion. The items they can corrupt in dnd thus far are amulets (such as crosses,prayer beads , etc), charms (enchantations you do with or without amulets.) , reliquaries( simulacrum [christian], stupas [buddhism], etc) all of those are in dnd and corrupted but what can I expect from people who want to attack dnd at all cost as the first two replies were arguments from Twitter ideologs who didn’t do their research either.

So, what can be noted of that reply? Why, it’s a literal dismissal of the SPECIFICS of Dasha’s point, through deflection. Dasha was talking about Riots, so Ari tried to make it about PROTESTS. Even if we accept Ari’s numbers (which we have no reason to do so, with how disingenuously he uses them) then he’s still attempting to dismiss the 7% of behavior that IS BEING DISCUSSED because the 93% he approves of wipes it away in his mind.
That’s point one in how shit Ari is, but we do have a point two as well.

Now, a statement like this really does call for evidence, right? or at least an evidentiary theory, something to show a proof of white supremacists doing the burning and destruction. Now, TO BE FAIR (which is more than what Ari deserves) quite a bit of the destruction was done by white people. But even that’s not a defense, because the USA is a WHITE MAJORITY POPULATION. The REALITY is that most of the destruction was done or just started by white anarchist groups who used BLM as an excuse to act out. But that’s a layer of complexity, and Ari doesn’t handle complexity well. After all, if this is true, his left-wing coalition of protestors are really full of absolute shitheads. Well if people get the news that they may have metal in their ice cream, they will figure out which one and not buy it. That then causes the company to go broke unless something takes them over and bails them out.
