Weird productivity tip

This mostly works for smaller tasks I’ve been putting off for a while but it can be adapted to work however you want: cross it off of your to do list. Now you have to do it or you lied to your to do list. Shame on you.

A packed week calls for a simple spread, but I’m not complaining! Sometimes a huge to-do list can look really overwhelming. Here’s a reminder to take a step back, breathe, and take it one step at a time. Everything will be okay.

I got a 4.00 GPA this semester!

I am so, so excited about this! In high school it would have been no big deal. I went to a tiny school where all of the classes were rather simple and I never really had to try. When I went to college I made the mistake of taking on too many classes, and it was difficult to keep up to my personal standards. Since I was used to having straight A’s, I was disappointed when I didn’t get them during first semester of freshman year, and again during the second.

I worked extra hard this semester and managed to receive all A’s on my MANY classes. (If you aren’t a music major, you probably don’t know that credit hours aren’t equal to how many hours you’re in class per week; I had 16 credits and instead of the usual 4 of 5 classes for “regular” majors, I had 9 and was in class for about 29 hours a week — and that’s not including an online class nor practice hours.) Considering how much time was consumed in class as well as marching band, I am surprised by how I managed to keep my grades up.

I hope this doesn’t come across negatively; I am just extremely proud of myself and wanted to share my achievements. I very excited for next semester. I will be taking 19 credits/9 classes and I hope to be able to keep up the hard work!

Been home this weekend!! Went grocery shopping for dorm sustenance, went to the mall and windowshopped aimlessly for a couple hours, and did my genetics homework!!

I should def be studying more than the minimum but like it is lunar new year weekend i deserve this don’t i

But then again midterms round 2 starts in less than 2 weeks HAHAH

18. Do you like background noise while studying, or do you prefer it to be silent? If you listen to music, what’s your playlist?

Background noise is okay as long as it’s quiet… I’ll listen to music when I’m studying it and sometimes when I’m stressed and studying other subjects, but I don’t listen to it as often when I’m studying anymore as it can distract me!… 🎶

hey guys, here are some pictures of today’s morning study session. this year (for my degree in chinese studies) we haven’t done much written chinese, we focused ourselves more on chinese history, literature, oral and classic chinese, that’s why I’ve decided to study it on my own during my holidays! I’m planning to study 2 lessons every day (text, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and listening). so far, I’m doing an amazing job, I learnt 85 words today! I’m now going to read a chinese contemporary mini-story using my book “graded chinese reader 500 words” ☕ have a nice productive day!
