believe me, i LOVE happy hardcore and sunshine and hugging and rainbows, but itâs so much more than that... PLUR is actually a fight/movement and it doesnât cancel each other out at all. âPLUR is an aggregation of ideas that were part of the earlier hippie and peace movement ("peace", "love") and black and hip hop culture ("respect").â plur is a way of life... a way of life that you CANNOT BE by not being actively anti-bigot.
Peace...peace is not possible in a society like this without a fight, that is just the undeniable truth. our society, our judicial system, our police system ACTIVELY prevents peace. our society oppresses, erases, KILLS minorities for the sake of preserving white cishet able supremacy and wealth. if you are silent and aversive to this, if we do not actively oppose and CONSTANTLY oppose and fight against this, we will never have peace. âall lives matterâ is bullshit until they actually all matter. there is no peace in white cishet supremacist comfort. so if we oppose it, and support and lift up our oppressed peers, loved ones, family... that is actually peace. peace doesnât come without a fight in a society like this, promote real peace and not white cishet comfort with this fight and continual support of your oppressed peers
Love...love is deep. real love is deep. real love puts human life over any object, property, clout, item...real love is relentless and persevere. like i said above, always show love and support. always love and support your oppressed peers, partners, family- ALWAYS. stand by them even when it gets very very rough. even if it means your discomfort when you speak up against bigotry. always be the best you can and always be better for them. that is love. that is what love is. love is not just hugs and puppies, love is strong and continual and only gets stronger when the times get tougher. love is for every . single. life of which doesnât bring active harm, and love is putting that life before any sort of wealth or object.
Unity...unity is sticking together and fighting in numbers for peace love and respect!!! unity is never leaving your oppressed peers alone in the hardest times- unity is the exact OPPOSITE. just like love, unity is at its strongest IN those hard times! unity is sticking together and not backing down and abandoning those when times get hard. and âunityâ SURELY doesnât exclude POC, queer people, and disabled people. that isnât unity
Respect.... isnât this one obvious?? respect others as human life just like you. unlearn racist behaviors and language, unlearn LGBTphobic behaviors and language, unlearn ableist behaviors and language. learn even the most subtextual and instinctive bigotry and then stamp it out. put your respect where it actually belongs, to human life that cares about other human life over property, wealth and supremacist pigs
true raves were always way more than just about dancing and fashion and drugs. true raves were always about people coming together and being loved and respected regardless of skin color, disabilities, disorders, sexual romantic and gender identity... PLUR was always so much more than just rainbows and smilies and fun music. just like hippie and punk (in HEAVY conjunction with plur rave culture), PLUR is not just an aesthetic, but a movement, a way of life. always strive for true PLUR and remember that BIGOTRY WILL NEVER EVER BE ALLOWED NOR AVERTED TO
