Women hear both of these complaints from men on a regular basis. Before she meets a man, she doesn't know which category he is. Does he complain when women aren't nice to him? Does he complain when women are nice to him? Does he complain about both? There's no safe option that will satisfy all men.

If you want women to show affection to you, she has to trust that you won't expect. If receiving affection causes you to expect it more often or expect it to lead to something else, she'll want to avoid that.

Instead of:

Under socialism, you work and you're still poor.

Under socialism, the ruling class have everything and the working class have nothing.

Under socialism, the police kill you for protesting.

Try:

A system in which people work and still starve is evil.

The ruling class having everything and the working class having nothing is evil.

Police killing protesters is evil.

Try saying those. See if people know which side you're on without you mentioning it.

I've noticed a pattern that Trump has.

He does something evil. People then worry about how evil he can get. Then, he creates a feeling of relief by being less evil. That feeling of relief is what allows his supporters to continue supporting him. If he always did the most evil thing he could do at any given time, he'd lose supporters eventually. But by giving relief every once in a while, those who were starting to consider abandoning him will no longer be motivated to do so.

It's a common pattern that abusers have. Those who are drawn to abusers can be manipulated into staying as long as there's relief every once in a while.

There's a concept in social sciences called Necropolitics that's more or less this. It's the use of political and social power to decide who can live and who can die in the current capitalist system. I recommend reading on it more because it's absolutely what has been happening specially with the fascist revival we're having worldwide.

literally ok so not a funny story but kind of funny? when I was nine I encountered rape in a book and I was like hey mom what’s this mean and she explained it and I was like oh. gross. and then like two weeks later a girl on the bus abruptly disclosed her csa and we were all like ????? what ???? but I was like wait hang on there’s a word for that ☝️🤓 and explained what it meant and that it was illegal and that you could talk to a teacher or my mom if it had happened to you and everyone was like ohhhhh I see I see and very somberly comforted the girl (she was safe she was removed from her home and living with my neighbor at the time so it wasn’t Urgent)
