Can we talk about Old Dub Freeza vs New Dub Freeza in one key scene for a second?

Specifically this scene

Old dub has Freeza just be like “THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH THE STRONGEST”

This has Freeza like “I am the mighty Freeza, ruler of the universe! The likes of you are only worthy to grovel at my feet! Or better still… to DIE IN DISGRCE! At the hands… OF YOUR MASTER!”

WHICH IS SO GOOD BECAUSE

THAT IS HIS MINDSET!

These are not his enemies. Vegeta is not a serious opponent. Goku is not his rival. They are not anything to him but PROPERTY.

He never so much as MET Goku before Namek, never heard of him, but the moment he did and saw he was a Saiyan? He was his slave.

Goku is a slave in Freeza’s eyes, nothing more. Just an uppity, rebellious slave who needs to be put down.

And THAT is why is BURNS him so much to not only have been beaten by him, but SPARED and told to go crawl under a rock and live with that fact.

It literally changes so much about how the character is depicted and what his real motivations are. Like even now, Freeza just sees the Saiyans as his servants that he needs to bring to heel and crush. It’s a pretty unique villain dynamic.
