Father I want to thankyou for today. Thankyou for every second, every ray of sun, every criticism, every compliment, every person, that has helped me grow and appreciate aspects of my life today. I feel compelled to lift those who are mourning a loss today. May they feel overwhelmed and not deserted by you, embraced and not rejected by your family the church. But I also pray for those who have had an epic day and have been able to appreciate your joys. Enable them to spread their joy and lift up praise, because this is what you're about: - Embracing - Encouraging - Enabling All because you love us dearly. AMEN Father!

Instapray

I want to share with you an app that one of my friends found called Instapray! It’s a cross between instagram and twitter I guess, you just share your prayers. After you post a prayer, it pops up on peoples feeds all around the world and they can pray for you - which the app notifies you of. It’s just an easy and cool way to keep prayer consistant and wide spread. God is not deaf to any form of prayer, whether it be written, spoken, sung, drawn, thought or danced he hears it and he loves it. Me and my friends all have it and I get a notification when they post a prayer so I can pray for them and they can pray for me. You can post pictures of encouragement and repray prayers you believe to be relevant. This is a completely spontaneous post haha I just love the app, it’s made prayer easier for me.

Y'know when you see an old couple walking down the street and you can tell they're still in love by the snatch of conversation you hear as you pass or the way they hold hands and you're like, YES. Stuff people who say the reason they aint gonna marry is because nothing is permanent. Love. Is. Ageless. The underlying reasoning in that excuse is that you haven't found the right person and thats okay? Love is ageless because if it was just for 16 year olds or just for middle aged people, everybody would be more desperate to grasp it. It'll surprise you, and wrap you up in it's beautiful arms - even if the surprise is something that starts small and grows. So don't look for safe, don't look for temporary. Look for beautiful and permanent because it won't let you go and one day you'll walk down the street with that love at your side and you'll glance at them and be thankful you chose them, and they'll look at you and you'll know that they think the same and somebody will silently witness that and your love will inspire another lust for love that is ageless, love that is permanent and love that is given by God and recieved by the both of you.

I have realised how easy it is to not see how God is moving in your life, or using you to do awesome things; it can mean we convince ourselves that he isn't at all, which causes us to lose faith or go through times where our relationship with Him is not so passionate.

When we come to God, it is all about the now. The Bible tells us that nomatter how good or bad our past is, when we voluntarily kneel down before the Lord it brings him abundent joy. He does not delete what is done, or say it is irrelevent to who we are - but he says that it doesn't have to contribute to who you will become with Him in your heart.

Sometimes we come to Him with painful or broken pasts that we wish to leave behind us, and others come seeking a renual of faith; either way it can be valuable to use our past in order to contrast the present.

I keep a prayer diary, as many people do - and occasionally I look back at some of the first prayers I wrote down, reading forwards and realising how many prayers have been answered. It's at this time of year that people decide to close the chapter entitled '2014' before opening the next, however I encourage you to skim read your highs and lows and look at how God has worked through you before you do.

If you're worried how this year is going to turn out, or don't keep a prayer diary - I also encourage you to write down your prayer for this year. When I started my prayer journal, I did so because I found praying a hard thing to do. I couldn't see God listening or answering my prayers, and yet when I wrote them down I found myself talking to him as if I were talking to my dad. God is not deaf to certain types of prayer. He hears your songs of praise, your whispers, your thoughts, your scribblings and your laughter - thats why he's so awesome. Just make sure you talk to him somehow, because he loves conversation.

I struggle to accept that people leave and distance themselves, whether that be through death, anger or change. I need your help to understand because I know I blame myself too much. I know there's an amazing and beautiful plan that you've made for us - but I also know there's a difference between knowledge and planning. You plan for us to be great through you and unfortunately you know that sometimes we will choose another direction by which we cannot achieve greatness; you gave us the choice because you know we'd prefer to live a life of freedom than one pre-decided. I pray for everyone who has chosen the other direction, Lord. May you make yourself known to them in the coming weeks; speak into their hearts. Let them know that you do not hold grudges and that with you there is beauty in being broken, not because of how we broke but because of how you fix us. I love you, father. I pray this In your holy name because you move mountains and calm storms. You sacrifice yourself every day for us just as you sacrificed your son. Through you all things are possible. A m e n .
