due to my limited free time, i will be selective with my interactions. i will only be engaging with my mutual followers and i do ask for your patience when it comes to replies.
i will not engage with homophobes, transphobes, racists, ableists, rape, pedophilia, and incest apologists. i do not engage with bigots.
do not rush me for replies. a gentle nudge is alright but i do have a life outside of tumblr. if you want to double check if i've gotten your reply, please do check in with me.
the persona MCs and adult romances make me uncomfortable, so i will be blocking any one who active engages with it for my own comforts.
i am a multi-shipper at heart. i do like ships, specifically the dynamic building aspect of it. sae is a tricky character when it comes to romantic dynamics, so i would much prefer to have it build up or at least have it plotted.
i interpret sae as a lesbian, which means i won't ship her with men. i'll only ship sae with adults over 21.
i am willing to adapt my style of writing but by default i stick to third person and present tense.
PORTRAYAL NOTES.
sae's backstory is heavily influenced by the events of persona 3/FES/reload. this means she's a persona user. read here for how this will impact the overall p5 narrative.
my portrayal will consist of a mixture of the persona 5/royal, persona 5 strikers game as well as the mangas (mementos missions, dengeki anthology, the p5 manga), as well as the stage play.
by default, i'll be writing sae post-niijima arc.
sae is a workaholic with poor coping skills. on the surface she appears very put together but she struggles emotionally. it is due to this emotional immaturity that leads to her feeling envy towards makoto, the phantom thieves, and eventually the existence of her palace. if she seems less put together in my portrayal than in canon, this is why.
shadow sae is by request only due to the nature of how her shadow exists. this will need to be plotted to avoid monotony and excessive repetition for my own sanity.
CONTENT WARNING.
due to the nature of every mainline persona game, there will be content triggering for some present
due to the nature of persona 5, the topics of sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, abuse of power, police brutality will be present. i will do my best to tag these topics.

ngl the idea of wild card sae niijima is very funny to me because she's lowkey a tired office worker if you think about it and having to form like 22 meaningful bonds kinda amuses me personally
like yes she works overtime all the time but also gotta keep up the social link bc somehow the man with a long nose in a blue room picked her !
his swagless mental breakdowns this, his homoerotic patterns of grief that. what about HER grief-stricken moments of extremely poor decisionmaking? what about HER incredibly alarming isolation and trauma-driven life choices?!?!?!
by default, sae doesn't trust ikutsuki. she's aware of the fact that he appealed to her ethos and pathos specifically in order to persuade her to join SEES. she doesn't trust a person who is all too eager to literally recruit children into fighting deadly shadows. she doesn't trust the fact that he can be so smiley every time he comes visits because the whole operation is built on with the implicit knowledge that they can die at any point and it'll be written off as an accident — and the most grotesque of it all is that ikutsuki doesn't do the fighting himself. to sae, it's a grown man using a bunch of teenagers (and ken, a literal 10 year old) as human shields.
of course, she doesn't say anything outright. but she's incredibly guarded around him and when he does reveal his true intentions, it sickens her that she's right because other people trusted him. but no, sae doesn't trust him and she trusts him even less when he even suggests the idea of letting ken join SEES.

[ to : niijima, makoto ➜ sent, 3:14 am ] i have a question, makoto.
[ to : niijima, makoto ➜ sent, 3:14 am ] what is " gyatt " ?
[ to : niijima, makoto ➜ sent, 3:20 am ] never mind... i know what it is now.
"Um...Niijima-san?" Ken shuffles is feet rather awkwardly, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his orange jacket. "You practice kickboxing, right? Do you think you could...maybe teach me? Only if it isn't too much trouble! I know I could ask Sanada-san, but..." But he wants to be like the older boy, and that makes it harder to ask. "I know I should keep using my lance when we fight Shadows, but I just thought it might be, um, useful? I don't want to drag everyone down..."
When Ken speaks, Sae settles slides the bookmark between the pages and closes the book. Eyes fixed on Ken Amada, one brow lofts in equal parts intrigue and... well, concern. The boy, the same age as her own sister at home and risking his life fighting shadows unsettles her deeply. She never understood the chairman's thought process — that very act soured her opinion of Ikutsuki permanently. Still... who is she to say no?
❝ I do. And it's no trouble — I don't mind teaching you. ❞ She manages a soft smile on her lips. There's something nostalgic about this. Perhaps, she's feeling a little homesick and so her thoughts drifts towards her little sister at home. ❝ I can understand where you're coming from.❞
