My attending probably has more faith in me than I do myself, and I feel like one day or another, Iโll end up disappointing him lol. But I know thatโs just me, and I should give myself more credit. Iโm in the right place, Iโm doing the right thing, and to err is human, especially at this stage of my journey. All is well. ๐

How to start again โจ
delete apps and social media that lowers your moodย
wear a new scent, throw away things you donโt need, delete contacts of people who make you feel unworthy, unfollow social media that makes you feel bad in any way
make a new playlist that makes you feel confident and happyย
in a journal, write down why you want to change, the traits of the person you truly want to be, the places you want to go and people that make you feel inspired
write down the things that stop you and bad habits you have, and replace those with new mindsets and habitsย
before you sleep,ย make a detailed, achievable routine for the next day, that includes everything you want to do, including activities that genuinely make you happy
try new hobbies, like baking/cooking,ย playing a musical instrument, making art,ย learning a new skill, a sport, or a new language. you can easily get free resources onlineย
think about the ideal version of yourself. you can be like that, if you try your best and work hard.ย
do not overwork yourself or set overly lofty daily goals and forget to do things like drink water. make your sleep and health your number one priority.
spend less time on your phone scrolling through social media. have a method of focusing on other things, like Pomodoro method or using the Forest app.ย
if you canโt concentrate, commit yourself to doing it for 5 minutes.ย once you get into the flow itโs much easier to concentrate.
be patient and kind with yourself. itโs hard to change overnight. youโre the only one who can help change you, so be a friend to yourself.
once you start something, promise yourself you will finish it.ย
have new weekly routines, like going to a cafe every Wednesday afternoon or indulging in your favourite tv show every Friday night.
do not deny yourself of good things; there needs to be a balance. similarly, do not be too generous and overdo it too much.ย
dedicate a day to clean your room and organize your things if you feel stressed out.ย
it may feel scary to change, as you may feel like itโs not the real you. but youโre still you, just the best version of yourself.
have a relaxing morning routine to look forward to, like making a nice breakfast, having a skin care routine, stretches, journalling, or thinking about nothing for a few minutes
have a mental image that makes you excited to do something. visualize yourself completing the goal and concentrate on it every morning.
however, learn not to rely on motivation because your brain will often turn off motivation, especially when you first begin something. have a routine, a specific time to do something, and do it.ย
notice the places and people that drain your energy, and try to avoid them. find people who make you feel energized and places that calm you.
think about an enjoyable part of something. for example, when studying you can look forward to learning new things and when exercising, listening to calming music or using nice stationery. itโs actually more fun than you think.ย
even though itโs hard, donโt compare yourself. youโre on your own path, and it doesnโtย matter if people are better than you, because there will always be someone better than everyone. donโt be afraid to suck.ย so draw badly, write bad poems, run slowly, make embarrassing mistakes and fail everything. you canโt be good at something unless youโre terribleย at something first. and doing anything badly is so much better than doing nothing.
donโt tell anyone about your new beginning, just start and let the results speak for themselves.
you can change and be your ideal self. but it will be hard to do that if you donโt believe in yourself. so make sure you challenge negative thoughts telling you canโt do something. tell yourself firmly that you can do it and then prove your negative thoughts wrong.

i know im a small studyblr but what better way to grow than to make your own posts, right? these are my study tips:
1. work in a clean space:ย if youโre one of those people who thrives in chaos, good for you, iโm jealous! but for most people, a cluttered room or desk means a cluttered and unfocused mind. i like to take breaks between subjects to make sure my extra pens, papers and whatnot arenโt everywhere to make the space feel messy.ย
2. donโt do your least favorite/most stressful subject first. donโt do it last, either: if you try start with the thing thatโs going to be all ugh and stressful, youโll be less motivated to work and more likely find ways to distract yourself! in the same vein, if all youโre working toward is something you donโt want to do, youโll procrastinate by doing other things for longer. my method is to do my more neutral work first, then do the hardest or least favorite, and end with my favorite subject!
3. be comfy, but not too comfy: to me, everything is about balance and mediation. sure, you can study in sweatpants, but donโt crawl under the covers to do your reading. or if you know you wonโt fall asleep in jeans, sit on your bed to study but wear your day to day clothes. itโs all about what works for you, of course, but i think itโs best to remember to keep studying fun while remembering to keep it at least somewhat separate from full-on leisure.ย
4. eat before you study:ย have a snack with protein in it before you start your work, or have food with you! too many times have i found myself hungry and shaky an hour into my work and used my hunger as an excuse to take a much longer break than i should be taking :) similarly, have water or a drink with you while you study!
5. be productive in your breaks: clean up your space a bit, scroll through the studyblr tag, stretch, work on a bujo spread, etcโdo things that will keep you in the motivated mindset so you wonโt slip back into procrastinating or doing something else, but at the same time make sure you keep your mind away from your actual studies!
