Maxon and America
They met for the first time in university.
Maxon is the son of Gregory, the president of the university, and America is the recipient of a full scholarship given by a lottery.
Maxon saw her around campus several times and tried to talk, but she brushed off all his advances.
She accepted to go out on a date with him, but thinking he was coming onto her too fast, she kicked him hard in the “thigh.”
Maxon was immediately in love.
It took a while for her to warm up to him, but eventually she became his Wingwoman and they’d go to clubs together to pick up dates.
This usually ended with them making out and agreeing that they’d be nothing more than friends afterward.
Both, however, secretly wanted each other, but each thought it’d be best to focus on school.
So much pining
It wasn’t until Graduation Day that Maxon came out with it, and, well, let’s just say America was more than a little enthusiastic.
Lucy and Aspen
He was in the police academy
She was a barista in coffee shop.
Not a very good one
She got his order wrong
He gave her a tip anyway
They didn’t speak for months, but continued with their little routine:
Order, get it wrong, tip, smile, repeat.
One day after her shift, she found a coffee cup with her name and a number written in black marker.
She didn’t call it.
The next time he came in, his cup had a name and a number
Marlee and Carter
Marlee’s grandparents were paying for her college. They were strict people and forbid her from seeing anyone who could show romantic interest. She didn’t date, but that didn’t stop her from going to wild parties with her friends
That’s where she met Carter. Immediately she knew he was special.
Marlee deceived her grandparents for months and dated Carter behind their backs.
It was all spoiled one day when her grandparents showed up at her apartment for a surprise visit. Needless to say it didn’t go well when they spotted her and Carter.
Marlee was told they’d pay nothing toward her college, apartment, and never let her come home.
Carter dropped out of the police force to get a job and help pay for Marlee’s college.
They got married young and rented a crabby little apartment while Marlee finished up her last year of school.
She graduated with top marks and a little boy clinging to her hip.
