I will never heal from AD21. Ever.
Preach. Even the commentators are still traumatised, you could hear it in their voices today
You're stranded on a deserted island with the person on your lockscreen. How screwed are you?
Mine is my cat and she has exactly minus one brain cell, so yeah we’re fucked

I feel you, Neolithic hedgehog. I feel you.
“That would be delightful,' agreed Flora, thinking how nasty and boring it would be.”
Cold Comfort Farm - Stella Gibbons
No unequivocally the best line is ‘How trying’ said as a deadpan response to any drama. My ex flatmate and I used to say it all the time and even made a sign which we hung up above the phone in the hall (this was a very long time ago!) to remind us. It’s the 100 years ago version of ‘Whatever’ and we should bring it back.
Rosslyn Chapel was founded in 1446 by William Sinclair, reflecting the wealth and ambition of a powerful Scottish noble family.
The chapel is renowned for its extraordinary late medieval stone carvings, which display a level of craftsmanship rarely matched in 15th-century Europe.
Its intricate symbolism blends Christian iconography with enigmatic motifs, inspiring centuries of interpretation and speculation.
The famous Apprentice Pillar stands as both a masterpiece of sculpture and a legend-filled tale of rivalry and tragedy.
Rosslyn Chapel survived the upheavals of the Scottish Reformation, though it fell into disuse and partial ruin for a time.
In the 19th century, restoration efforts revived the chapel, preserving its artistry for future generations.
The site has long been associated with myths involving the Knights Templar, though historians debate these connections.
Its richly decorated interior includes hundreds of carved figures, from biblical scenes to depictions of musicians and mythical beings.
Rosslyn Chapel gained global fame in modern times after being featured in The Da Vinci Code, sparking renewed interest in its mysteries.
Today, it stands as a remarkable fusion of history, legend, and artistry, drawing visitors from around the world to explore its enduring secrets.
Oh wow this was weird to see on here. Haven’t been there in nearly 20 years! And when I think I used to sing in there probably twice a year every year for like a decade. Seeing this took me out bc I was like ‘why does that look familiar’ lol.
Turns out maybe it looked familiar bc I’ve spent multiple hours of my life standing next to it FREEZING MY ASS OFF. I swear to god that building has its own private climate and that climate goes: damp winter, slightly less damp winter, regular winter, and ‘I’m sorry we will have to stop this part of the concert because the sub-zero temperatures are causing the musical instruments to self-destruct’ winter.

Imagine being the front running drivers, panicking and radioing your engineer about nerve damage AND brain damage because "I swear, I passed the backmarkers and there was only one Aston Martin and now there's two????" and being told that, much like Palpatine, Fernando Alonso has somehow returned
Incredible events unfolding on reddit
I would die for Tessa. I would find her 200 toothbrushes.
So it looks like Tessa has been using these veggietales toothbrushes for ages, but has misplaced the stash.
I am missing the cultural context to understand what is happening here but the linguist in me is fixated on the one, spectacular, point which everyone else seems to have missed: that the OP pluralised ‘toothbrush’ not as ‘toothbrushes’ but ‘teethbrush’.
TEETHBRUSH.
Which when you think about it, should actually be what the thing is called anyway because it’s a brush… for your teeth. All of them at once, or at least multiple at the same time. You don’t brush each tooth individually. Other languages call it this. In French it’s ‘une brosse à dents’. Dents being plural. So it makes zero sense that we call it a toothbrush, and if the OP had used ‘teethbrush’ as a singular, with an assumed plural ‘teethbrushes’, it would be amusing, technically wrong but semantically correct.
But ‘this toothbrush; these teethbrush’ is just some next-level instinctive vowel mutation shit and I am in awe.
Here we go! ❤️🔥
This is incredible, there’s literally a family resemblance! 10/10 casting
i lowkey don’t even want grrm to finish asoiaf bc the prospect of an ending being fucked up scares me so much more than the lack of it.
also there’s something comforting about the story inadvertently becoming eternal. like, if there is no end, all the characters are preserved like prehistoric insects in amber.
kind of cool if you are also terrified of change
This x 100. Not even lowkey. They are Schrödinger’s characters at this point.
We have fanfic. Every conceivable ending already exists. Just take your pick.
Can someone just make him stop?
a lot of ADHD behaviours and barriers feel like sims logic playing out in real time like i did my laundry but i had to pee and sleep so i stopped and i haven’t folded it yet except i can’t fold it yet because i need to eat but i can’t eat because the laundry basket is in front of the fridge. someone keeps queuing actions but they’re getting cancelled
Sorry I’m late for work, I had to stand in the doorway angry and confused doing nothing for 2 hours.
So real lol
Also as you get older you realise that the thing where the older sims only sleep for four hours before they have get up and pee is painfully true
hey so I’m talking with my wife and I just realized she’s never felt an earthquake so uh
have you ever felt an earthquake
yes
no
and pls reblog i need to know!!!!!!!
I don’t really know how to answer this because I’ve never been in a full-on earthquake with walls shaking or anything that, but technically I have experienced one very very tiny one nearby (in England - yes we have them but they’re so minor most people don’t feel anything) and one enormous one several hundred miles away (Sichuan 2008 when I was in Shanghai). Both felt the same - just like a weird feeling of disorientation and mild seasickness. In the case of the China one, we had just arrived that morning and thought the feeling was just jet lag and residual travel sickness. Only found out what had happened that evening.
This is very cute and all but I’d just like to point out that this ‘little old lady’ has long jet-black hair in plaits so is most probably about 30 at most. Who made the leap from ‘crochet’ and ‘has cats’ to ‘old’?
