I have an issue with pet influencers who are very out of touch with reality in terms of how accessible certain types of foods are. They push these boutique foods that are ridiculously expensive and when they do a price breakdown, the servings range from $3-5 each. Possibly more. That’s $6-10 per day. Most people can’t afford that but they ALWAYS say a raw diet or fresh diet is affordable!! Maybe it is when you’re being sponsored by all these brands, but the average person cannot afford these foods and you definitely should not be shaming someone for how they feed their pets. As long as the pet is FED and HEALTHY then it really shouldn’t matter what they eat.

anyways i’m gonna stick with my cat’s vet recommended foods as his main diet

plus my cat doesn’t even like the expensive “higher quality foods” he’d rather have fancy feast and sheba patties and purina dry food 😭

you’ll make 100k a year and have full benefits etc BUT you have to work one of the following jobs for the rest of your life. pick which one youd rather do

food service (besides server)

retail

customer service (help desk, call center etc)

server/waiter

you cant move up and become a manager or anything either you will always be at the bottom most entry level position. however hours will be as typical for that position and you still get the 100k. basically i just want to know which of these jobs you’d be happiest doing if you didnt have to worry about anything outside of work lol

hey tumblr how do i keep a cat inside that knows how to open sliding doors and bust out window screens

ftr he was a stray i adopted this year so he’s pretty much been outdoors his whole life. i have never adopted a stray before. he kind of just showed up and the rest is history 😂

when i got him neutered, i tried to keep him inside for two weeks per the vet’s recommendation. once the drugs wore off (buprenex) he got really antsy about being inside and tried figuring out how he can get out. i managed to keep him inside for five days before he pushed the screen out of the window of the room he was in, which only happened because my bf forgot to close the window before he left for work. i basically gave up after that and let him be outside. i told the vet tech about it at his two week checkup and she was like “well you did the best you could, especially with a cat who’s never been inside before”

since then he’s gotten very comfortable being in the house. he lets himself in all the time (bc he can open the sliding screen door) and he loves sleeping on his cat tree or on the dining room table. i really want to keep him indoors full time but since he is a little smart boi he knows how to escape if he really wants to, and i don’t know how to prevent it because we need to have the sliding doors and windows open during the day lol.
