'Sup. Welcome to my FFXIV sideblog for hoarding ideas, brainstorming, rambling about my ocs and headcanons and ffxiv thoughts. Sometimes it's an aesthetic blog (aes.img). My main is @themirage-prismatic, cause I've been on tumblr forever but I treat THIS blog like my main... I was born last century. This blog is SFW but might be 21+ with occasional spiceness. I think i accidentally made Grymundr "Warrior of Light" material. Infamous Ala Mhigan revolutionary charging about Ilsabard blowing up Castrums, returns to Eorzea.

Leticia "Thundermercy" Abraxas, Grymundr's adoptive sister. People keep thinking she is the nice one. She has socked people in the jaw for going over her 'being nice' quota for the week.

Queralt Deepmind, a very intelligent moonkeeper who is seconds away from throttling his fellow academics. He's going into the woods

Loporrits when they're actually prepared for Apocalypse

so, obviously the Final Days was a non-issue really but its so much of not-a-real-problem (out of universe) that the the actual Anti-Apocalypse IN-universe measure was … not reassuring. the loporrits didn't know basic facts like: the etheirysans' HEIGHT. (so the Burrow is unnecessarily huge to accommodate Amarout-era people) or what a forest looked like (gives me a stroke). they didn't have more food than carrots. their only contacts were Sharlayans so the evacuee pool would be small due to recent 'these people are warmongers' bias (not hydaelyn's intent) and Namingway was apparently the only boots on the ground person and they (Namingway) didn't actually talk to people AND THEN they missed the entirety of Endwalker O(-( also: if they presumed the ancients were twenty fulms tall why are the loporrits the size of flies?! or FLEAS?! (rather: hydaelyn, why are they so small) the only thing that seemed to be halfway decent was Smileton / the apartments and even that was a mess. 😭 anyway, so this is how i'd like it to go:

the Loporrits are always building space arks. they watch the population growth and adjust accordingly.

during the elemental era (the post-amarout world that gets wrecked by elemental calamities every 2000ish years), they visit often to record everything the people are doing and marking down their accomplishments, histories etc. so loporrits would be always appearing in every civilizations stories. so they have records from the first era.

they collect artifacts. they notice omega. they collect Allagan technology and their space ark program jumps forward centuries. I guess they'd be friends with dragons.

they have records of the lost 4th era and Allag and everything else because they had to launch a 'Save the Books' operation in the panick of the Earth Calamity (man, a back up of Earth's history would be nice…)

speaking of, they'd help out during every Calamity going: is this THE Calamity? is this the Final Days? no? well. might as well help anyway.

i have no idea what they would do with Dalamud's everything yet but they'd do something

so by the time, the Loporrits actually need to evacuate the world there would be no resistance; they'd have all the Arks they'd need because they had been tracking and calcuating the population through the eras and everyone would know because they've always been there and be in everyone's stories as 'bunnies from the moon sent by the gods' and they'd always be on disaster relief or something or at least trustworthy souls so they'd visit every country like: the Final Calamity is upon us it is time to go. (and they'd be able to separate enemies into separate arks if they needed to)

the Dairyu Moongates are literal; there's a structure inside and has a transport to the moon. it is not the only one. the Crystal Tower is probably one

the loporrits did not know the Etheirysan' clothing styles. I think this is less egregious; guess we'll all wear space robes. or those generic Star Crew suits i guess

i need the loporrits to have different fur and tunic colors who the fuck are you (they may have inherited the identicalness from the ancients but also there ARE 'divergent' loporrits - Livingway - the leader - and Counselingway/Talkingway, Namingway so... yeah. it's possible. loporrit fashion boom.

I was really sad that the Domans didn't get to go 'oh the rabbits on the moon'? at any point considering the IRL japanese legends. i understand (a little) it not being mentioned in Stb but i would have liked them to be in the know about moon rabbits all along, considering their moon god(ddess?) irl, Tsukuyomi is a masculine god

i guess there would be some resistance to the evacuations but because of the aforementioned ongoing legends, for the most part it would be fine

i guess the loporrits were in stasis to avoid misadventure but perhaps they'd be less prone to misadventure and more likely to survive it if they got out more

i guess after Dalamud, in a more planned story, Eorzea would get a baffling serfeit of loporrits starting in ARR. *notes this down for my brain fic* heeeey, maybe they'd be friends with moogles.

wait. when i said 'everyone' i meant also Tural. which means they'd also have Yok Huy. Gurfurlur and Gulool Ja Ja are ancient-sized; they're like twenty fulms tall compared to other Yok Huy's 15 fulms.... actually idk how tall Gurfurlur (the High Luminary) or the other 'shrunken due to inherited diseases' Yok Huy are...

i also meant dragons. like the First Brood. they're all enormous. so the Loporrits facilties being scaled to amaroutine-sized giants is fine actually though they might need to build catwalks for everyone else so people don't have to wander by their feet all the time.

i think it would’ve been cool if y’shtola had been a tank.. she’s such a fundamentally selfless person who has never hesitated to put herself between danger and the people she loves + (maybe to her own detriment) she tends toward bearing the brunt alone …every expansion shes like [dramatically sacrifices herself]

my thoughts are: in Tessellation, the Ala Mhigans are less disenfranchised because i have made the Adventurer's Guild a Plot Point instead of a background game mechanic. the Ala Mhigan Mercenary Bureau - state sanctioned mercenary jobs - is the predecessor to the AG before the Ala Mhigan crown went nuts adn then the Bureau burned their records to stop the crown from retaliating against them. that's background, Raubahn is still the Flame Warlord for Ul'dah Nulah'dia

oooh character ephiphany. so like, i have decided that Grymundr doesn't actually like Raubahn because his (Raubahn's) work with Ul'dah conflicts with the Ala Mhigan diaspora. and i was looking at ilberd like: … would this unhinged man have a reason for NOT being unhinged in this 'verse (Tessellation) but i have decided to sacrifice him. Ilberd sees Raubahn as a broken ideal of Ala Mhigo and Grymundr as the real ideal of Ala Mhigo but Grymundr's like: … you are unhinged. raubahn, you lived with this? and this is how Grymundr and Raubahn become friends; mutual 'what is wrong with him' hmmm, i guess Ilberd would also be rude to Leticia (Grymundr's adopted sister). but not in a woman-hater way in a 'this woman is from the enemy empire' way.

Your joy will ring out in fresh laughter. Return does not see you wither in shade. Nay. Rather, you become sunshine nourishing the leaves of feelings yet to bloom. Emotion will not hold the same shape as when you were, but it is no less significant to those who are.

It is still no comfort—this I understand with increasing clarity. There too is fear of remaining unfinished.

My FFXIV themed entry for the "Dream Sequence" render challenge is finished. While brainstorming for ideas I stumbled upon the Dancing Green raid in FFXIV which features a soundtrack with a BPM of 120 and is also synced to the music. What a fitting fight for this, huh? Nice challenge, was fun :)

i am thinking about my Doma worldbuilding for Tessellation again and i'm mad Doma Castle is a) called a castle b/c that is a CITADEL, it's a small city, wtf and b) i am mad its a wreck.

anyway, i was thinking about how a large crowd of people say an army gets in and realized that the bridges to Doma castle are very narrow. So, i decided there is a lower, wider passageway for large crowds / the army coming in for... whatever reason ... which also doubles as a neat little trap because it is under a river :) and they can collapse it

You need to know them because they will play very important roles in the history of China. The Yangtze has been crucial to trade, movement, culture and more. The Yellow river, the Yellow River can’t be trusted as you will repeatedly see.”
