Nomura Comments on TWEWY Sequel

“On a Potential The World Ends With You Sequel

Nomura said that when it comes to The World Ends With You, its following is very big overseas. He goes on to state that many people, especially overseas request that a sequel be made. Nomura adds that this is no easy task, but the possibility of a new entry isn’t completely ruled out. He wants to ensure that he will have the staff and team needed to deliver an product equal to the original game.”

This is the first time we’ve even been acknowledged in a while so I’m very happy. The big following and strong tail of sales over the years in the West and people being passionate about the game seem to have at least kept Square Enix slightly aware. Perhaps if Square Enix can get away from Final Fantasy and KH for juuuust a bit they can focus some of their resources and people on TWEWY, though with FFXV/VII Remake/KH3/etc going on. it might be a bit difficult.
