one thing about the mighty nein is the official character art i’ve seen is always so cunty that as someone who has never seen a single episode of the main exandria campaigns i’ve nearly started campaign 2 about four separate times just because of how much i like the look of the characters. they are all so beautiful to me <3

so, new Seekers table. Julien and Occtis are increasingly openly hostile to one another. Occtis and Vaelus have a rift at the moment because she didn't think of him when she destroyed the Stone of Nightsong. Vaelus does not trust Bolaire at all. Bolaire seems upset with Thimble over the Thjazi of it all. Thimble and Julien have a frequently tumultuous relationship. Julien also seems to not like or trust Bolaire at all. Bolaire has antagonized Kattigan with "I lost everything" while still having siblings out there. Kattigan has barely spoken to anyone here who isn't Thimble. this isn't even getting to Thjazi being in Julien's shadow as a constant presence.

it’s definitely not a 1:1 comparison but brennan noting kattigan’s rage is justified and tyranny is here to cause suffering for those that deserve it and then implying these things are both more what demonkind and the pit are really about than a simple “demons are evil” analysis… this is all soooo fantasy high.

this last episode has really moved the “thjazi is julien’s shadow” concept from, in my opinion, simply being cool to being the most interesting thing in the world. the possibility that the shadow pointing to where teor and cyd were was not just to share information but because thjazi wanted julien to go save his friends. and now, even if nobody else ever knows, thjazi will always know that julien didn’t try. julien will literally be haunted by the knowledge of his actions, in much the same way he has seemingly been haunted by whatever actually took place in that fight with thjazi all those years ago.

pre-convergence starting i chose to be on the "everybody lives" train because i cannot deal with the stress of guessing who will die and now cr dropping both the "have snacks, drink water, tag spoilers" note and a cooldown clip of brennan saying the players are throwing each other to the wolves has led me to believe we might be about to experience a category 5 "people get mad at the players for making an in character choice" event. which irl is going to suck ass but from a person who loves mess has me frothing at the mouth with excitement for tonight's episode.

CRITICAL ROLE 4.29 Opening Night

#love when brennan is mean. love it more when the players respond accordingly. so understandably this has gone triple platinum in my brain #cr spoilers

so fucking funny that the squad for the tachonis combat death mansion both makes complete narrative sense and is also made up of 4 pcs who have either made use of desperate measures (teor & thimble), taken a subclass that specifically requires them to be injured (julien), or taken both a feat and a spell that require self injury (occtis). it’s just 4 people with life risking tendencies in a group together getting scared for and mad at the other people in the group when they are exhibiting life risking tendencies. the hypocrite brigade <3

really scared/excited about the green lighting thimble-julien-occtis-teor fight in the new trailer seemingly taking place over two separate episodes (they’re wearing different shirts). also we can’t see travis in one of those eps but i’m choosing to believe teor gets there later a la vaelus in the bar fight. because it’d be badass. but for safety everybody # please live

just woke up to find out we got confirmation both hal & thjazi were younger than they should have been when they joined the war of axe & vine (‘a little young’ in hal’s case, ‘quite young’ in thjazi’s)… i literally planned this. also if we do the math with hal being 19 in the year 42 and the war of axe and vine starting in the year 37, hal could have been about 14 years old when he joined. and thjazi is at least a few years younger than hal. so.
