So I currently took a vacation away from other socmed because I was too involved and it’s getting more and more toxic by day. There’s a lot of issues going on and it’s getting harder for me brush-off a topic that’s trending. Although, not too long ago, I’ve said that not everything in socmed is fake (which is actually true), it’s also not a healthy environment.

We got this ‘cancel culture’ all over the place. We got fan wars. We got a lot of so called ‘influencers’ who are actually not influencing but pressuring a lot of young adults causing anxiety and depression, teaching us how to prank, encourages hate & cyberbullying, showing us what expensive make-up brands to buy, what designer bags they have, teaching the young ones to dance (cool, right?) but with little to almost no clothes to get thousand of likes to get themselves validated.

And people like me, rant a lot in social media about these issues. I somehow wanted to be heard but...

IDK.

I mean, sure, this pandemic has caused us to stick our faces on our smartphones because we cannot go out and have fun like the old normal. We have TV, there’s Netflix, yeah, but there is seriously something about socmed that’s getting our attentions instead, because we almost have no other outlet. But this is just too much.

I, at least, need a distraction, a break. I need a life. And I feel sorry for myself for going through this. I, somehow lack mental care. I did this to myself. Don’t let yourself be in this situation. It’s no fun.

The thing about an anxiety disorder is that you know it is stupid. You know with all your heart that it wasn’t a big deal and that it should roll off of you. But that is where the disorder kicks in; Suddenly the small thing is very big and it keeps growing in your head, flooding your chest, and trying to escape from under your skin. You know with all of your heart that you’re being ridiculous and you hate every minute of it. The fact that many people don’t recognize or have patience for your illness only makes everything worse.
