I ᴡᴀɴᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴀɴ I’ᴠᴇ ᴡᴀɴᴛᴇᴅ ᴀɴʏᴏɴᴇ Isɴ’ᴛ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀᴏᴜs?
She had heard them quite audibly– not necessarily their words due to her lack of interest, but she knew others were around. Really, she didn’t want to bother too much with them when she could easily pick a fight with someone weak and alone so there wasn’t a hassle. However, it would likely be even more of a bother to try and find that particular person, so she figured she might as well give it a shot. It wasn’t as if she had much to lose.
Stopping once one went silent, Zero heard what seemed to be words intended to call her out following. The voice was almost crystal clear, a result of one of her “sister’s” influence. It wasn’t always horrible, she guessed.
Zero turned to approach the group, stepping casually despite the sword over her shoulder. “Oh, yeah? Got a problem with it?”
"Shoulda stayed quiet. I was going to leave you alone.”
╳ || He sighs a little at Moka’s words— despite his occupation (which, he guesses, doesn’t matter so much anymore), he rather avoid conflict that’s entirely unnecessary. When the presence appears in front of them, armed yet so casual (arrogance, or just confidence?), he releases a bigger sigh.
"Let’s just settle down here," he speaks, exasperated. "No need for conflict. There’s much bigger things to worry about, right? Like food, or water, or our partners." Despite his words that are intended to disarm, he tenses as his eyes glide across the blade of the woman in front of him. He can sense strength overflowing from her, and, though his side has the advantage of numbers, neither side would remain unscathed.
"So," he forces a chuckle, "will you let us go, miss?"
A woman covered in white appears before them. Everything about her screamed «I'm strong» and her atitude seemed to suggest she was looking to fight. Plus...she smelled like blood. Moka follows her companion's gaze and settles her eyes on the blade the stranger carries; it was rather beautiful, fully decorated with flowers. Like the flower in the woman's eye. Which was strange but, then again, she'd seen stranger thing.
Haise seems to seek some sort of agreement, and the vampire sighs. "She won't listen to us." She whispers to him, without addressing the female in front of them but still keeping her eyes on her. "Can't you see she seeks conflict?" Of course it would be better for them to act peacefully and not engage in any sorts of violence but, if it came down to it, she wasn't going to backdown. She was very confident in her skills, after all.
╳ || “If I had my coat, I’d give it to you. Or maybe a better idea would be to share it? Who knows.” He turns his head slightly to look at Moka by his side and gives a grin, perhaps a little mischievous to match her’s. Despite all the circumstances pinned against them, he’s actually having some fun. Some of his worries dissipate bit by by as they continue walking.
That’s true until he senses something off ahead— a presence too large to be a simple squirrel or bird but too small to be one of the beasts that lurk in the forest. He tenses slightly, but his pace doesn’t change. Slowly, his smile fades into monotone, hoping the unknown entity doesn’t notice his change in demeanor.
"There’s someone up ahead." His voice is barely a whisper as he speaks to his companion. "We should try to avoid them."
She laughs yet again, his words growing even more amusing. "I guess I wouldn't mind that." He reminded her of another ghoul she met, albeit they were very different types of youkai; and very different people as well, despite the similarities she found.
However, her amusement didn't last very long. By the time Haise mentioned an unknown presence, she had already felt it and realized there was no point in trying to avoid whoever it was. "Why bother?" She says, "I'm sure they've noticed as well. And there's quite a murdering aura around them."
Having a soft { h e a r t } in a cruel world is C o u r a g e , not a weakness.
╳ || He scratches at his chin, an involuntary sign of nervousness, as Moka brushes the snow on him away. If the temperature wasn’t below freezing, perhaps he would be blushing a little as well— maybe. Though, at first, he shows no visible signs of being cold, or at least tries to suppress them, he begins to shiver ever so slightly. He begins to walk again, paying more attention to his steps this time, to promote circulation. “I think I’ll be fine… I think.
"What about you? Are you cold? I wouldn’t want you to freeze either. It’ll be hard carrying around a block of ice.”
He'd started to tremble, just a little. Of course that would happen, seeing as though he was covered in snow. The temperature outside wasn't exactly pleasant and even she was feeling cold, specially if you took notice of her clothes. A school uniform wasn't exactly the warmest piece of clothing, after all.
She follows after him, being careful of where she steps so as to not fall over like he did before. "Well... I suppose I am." However, hearing that last sentence, her expression changes into a teasing smile and she hurries to place herself besides the young man instead of slightly behind him. "Heh. You're complaining about having to carry me if needed? How rude."

The vampire was growing tired of being in this environment and only a few hours had passed. With no partner in sight or people she knew, she stood there, in the cold snow, all by herself. It was lonelier than she thought it would be. Moka was no stranger to loneliness, specially the 'outer' one. But it had been a while since she felt like that. And she didn't like it.
She shook her head and turned around, heading towards the area with the most trees. Most people were distracted trying to play the game and get others' flags but she wasn't very interested on it. She had one too many things to think about, after all. She managed to pass by unnoticed and quickly found herself among the forest. What she didn't expect, however, was to find someone else so deep in the woods. And of course she didn't expect them to not be human.
A young man all covered in black, doted with black wings, stood before her. She was surprised to find him there but, then again, there were a lot of people he who weren't human. She smelled it before. But, before she could even say a word to him, a loud sound was heard just next to them. And then a being so warped you couldn't even tell what it was anymore, emerged from the trees and jumped towards the male.
Of course she couldn't just stand there anymore. "Watch out!" She yelled, running towards the monster as fast as she could. She jumps in the air and quickly kicks it away, so hard it disappears into the trees as fast as it had showed up before. And she turns to face the young man. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, well, I think so, anyway." A shrug. "I look like one? In my real form, of course, but hell if I’m as weak as those things. I’m feared in where I’m from." Of course, that was something Madara would never forget to mention. It wasn’t as if he was lying, anyway. The youkai did fear him. “There are a lot of things that interest me. Food, sake, manjuus, fried squid? My favourite.” He started counting them off one by one. Somehow this made him feel homesick, if that was something he really should feel considering he was just crashing at some human’s place.
She doubts his words but, for now, she'll keep quiet about it. "I see." So he was powerful? She'd like to test that but not here, not in this situation. She couldn't be bothered to do it today. The expression on his face as he talked about the things he liked was one he had yet to show her; he was probably feeling she felt. "Most of those are food, aren't they?" She let out a small chuckle. He was interesting, she'll give him that.

╳ || Moka’s laughter fills him with a strange sort of feeling, and he can’t help but chuckle himself. He wonders if laughter is simply contagious, or if something more— He stops himself. That train of thought would only lead to depressing sorts of feelings that he wants to avoid entirely right now.
"Y-yeah, I’m fine," he says weakly between a chuckle. He takes her hand and lifts himself up. Snow is caked on his back and hair (which creates an interesting contrast with his already interesting hair), but he doesn’t seem to mind the cold seeping through his clothes.
"What can I say? I’m a chill sort of guy.”
She pulls him up and continues looking at him, now with a more soft expression. However, after his last words, she's not sure if she's supposed to laugh at him or not (again), but she cannot restrain herself and ends up chuckling. It's been a while since someone has managed to amuse the vampire so much.
A hand reaches for his hair, as she pushes away the snow that had piled up. His hair was almost completly white because of it, and so was his back, so she was sure he was feeling cold by now. "If you're not careful, you're going to freeze to death before we even manage to find anyone."

|| | ❧ | Pale arms had wrapped around his shoulders as the boy pulled his knees close to his chest. He shivered slightly, the chill of the winter weather prickling his bare skin. Perhaps it was a mistake, having gone out in such conditions with only his school uniform. Though perhaps it was a mistake having even left his room, suddenly caught within the crowd so eager to escape to the expanse beyond the fences.
He let out a slight exhale, leaning against the bark of the tree he sat beneath. The presence of a stranger just around the trunk hadn’t registered in his mind, though he couldn’t help but reply instinctively with the other’s remark. | ||
"You could say that again—"
The sudden voice right behind her almost made her jump. However, the snow was far too cold to allow her to move that quickly after sitting down for so long. She looks over towards the direction of the sound, finding a blonde haired man next to the tree she was leaning on. "Oh... I'm sorry, I didn't notice there was someone else." She truly didn't.
"Are you alright? You seem awfully cold." Not that she herself wasn't, seeing as though she was wearing nothing but a winter uniform. Not exactly the best getup for a snowy weather.
╳ || “Yeah, you seem pretty strong on your own, but, of course, a little help wouldn’t hurt.” He begins walking forward, commencing their shared mission to find their partners. He looks back to beckon her to follow, but, in doing so, he doesn’t see the fallen branch in his way. With the grace of a fallen turtle, he trips backwards and slams into the snow. Small flurries fly up from the impact zone.
"I think I might be the one needing help…"
Her companion starts walking and she's quick to follow him. However, she doesn't take more than two or three steps until he suddenly collapses onto the floor right in front of her. She regrets that her reflexes weren't fast enough to support his fall but, more than that... Well, she just laughs again. More than before even. "Are you alright?" She asks, a supporting hand reaching for the young male. "I didn't know you liked snow so much...!"
╳ || "I’m sure if we search around enough, we’ll find that person. And, well, if they’re an unpleasant person…" he pauses and takes a step forward. He doesn’t know why he’s this worried about Moka; she obviously possesses a great deal of strength, so no matter who her partner is, she’ll be able to handle. Yet…
"…I’ll make sure to put them in their place." His smile displays genuine warmth. If expressions could physically affect the world, then perhaps the snow around him would melt.
She laughed. For the first time since they started talking, she let out an honest chuckle. His words were rather amusing by themselves but the fact that he said that last sentence... It sounded like something she would say. "I'll take you up on that, then. Although I don't think I'll need it. But... Thank you." She smiled. Being around this guy was somehow reassuring. Whoever her partner was, she was sure that she had at least one person to talk to here. Who knew, they could even become friends.

Well, that explains her odd smell. He hasn’t actually seen a real vampire up close, which is kind of cool. He doesn’t understand what the hell an S-class means, though. But, to be honest…
"I’m not really interested in that." Yeah, he really doesn’t. Isn’t that kind of a trick to get someone to tell things about themselves, too? Like a trade, maybe. Whatever. He sighs. "Fine, geez. I’m something like an inugami, I guess." He raises a brow at her. "And I’m not lying. I do like lazing around a house as a pet. You know how good home-made pork cutlets are?”
His words and constant stare bother her, just a little; but she won't budge an inch. "An inugami?" There were a couple back at the academy, weren't they? Weak fellows they were. His next comment almost made her let out a chuckle, but she was fast enough to repress it. "Is that so? I suppose you're right." He really did talk like a house-cat would. Reminded her of her homeroom teacher; they'd probably get along. "So is food the only thing that interests you?"
I don’t insult people, I describe them.
