Ayrton Senna testing a McLaren-Lamborghini.
McLaren adapted an MP4/8 chassis to house the tiny V12 engine, and in September 1993, behind closed doors, they tested a totally unliveried car with Lamborghini power.
Emily Gray’s Chaser is so awesome looking!
Most people have probably never heard of David Purley. He never won a Grand Prix; in his Formula One career he didn’t score a single point. What he’s remembered for isn’t a podium or a championship. What he’s remembered for is one selfless but ultimately futile act of bravery.
At the 1973 Dutch GP, a brutal crash left Roger Williamson trapped upside down in a burning car. Having witnessed the crash, Purley stopped his car and ran across the track to help, attempting to right the car in order to free Williamson. However the car was too heavy to be moved by one man, and none of the track marshals had fireproof overalls.
Purley attempted to flag down other passing drivers to help, but they assumed that the burning car was Purley’s and evidently he had escaped unscathed. Footage of the incident shows him throwing his hands up in disgust at their apparent callousness.
Williamson died before he could be freed from the cockpit. Purley was later awarded the George Medal in recognition of his bravery.

Five weeks ago on March 20th, Roger Hill rolled his Toyota Corolla WRC at the first event of the Barbados Rally Season.
April 23rd, the car appears at scrutineering for the Sunoco Shakedown Stages Rally looking brand new with no indication that it was damaged. The next day, Roger and his co-driver Graham Gittens took part in the rally and finished 1st in WRC-2 and 5th overall. Still in form.
I also have to say that I am greatly impressed with the work that Corbin’s Garage has done to repair the car.
The car just refuses to die.
Happy Belated New Year, everyone.
I always tell myself that I should update the blog to make the followers happy and gain some new ones, but I always forget to post on here. Sorry.
But, on to the meat of the matter.
Whenever a new year comes around, everyone decides that they’re going to make changes. So I've decided to make a little change of my own.
I started as DZone Motorsport TV in September 2010. And for the next five years, I operated under that name. But as time passed, I grew less fond of that name and wanted something that sounded better and had a meaning behind it.
So...
As of on January 1st, 2016, DZone Motorsport TV is now 204 Motorsport Media.
It’s not a major change. Well, at least not to you guys. But it is to me. And I’ll try to post more content on the blog. I can’t downright promise to post more, but I’ll try.
Thanks for reading and understanding.
