You guys, I reblogged this 2 days ago out of desperation. Today I was looking through my old wallet for coins to go to the vending machine because that’s all I can fucking afford. I haven’t touched this thing since July/ August. When I found a disappointing 15 cents in the coin pocket I went to the billfold to see if any coins were in there. That’s when I saw them. 5 crisp bills amounting to $22. I literally screamed and danced around my room out of joy before remembering that I’d reblogged this post.

thats not what your article says. your article says pay rates decline as women enter field usually dominated by men.

men work longer hours on average. men work more overtime on average. men work /more/ hours when they have children on average, and women work less hours under the same circumstances. (no i don't mean maternity leave.) men also are better at (or just more aggressive, probably and argument to be made both ways.) bartering/haggling both salary and raises.

but of course all of those factors mean little, women are just valued less. question. if women are valued less why hire men? why aren't women in every single job slot. if i could hire two employees and pay one of them 20% less then the other, the other guy stands no chance.

Gun Violence vs. Islamic terror

had someone cite me stats saying there have been 3000 islamic terror deaths

since 2000 and 150,000 gun deaths. proving guns are the bigger issue!!!!

right?....right guys? 

there are 300 million guns in the united states and 100 million gun owners.

and there are 2 - 5 million Muslims.  

let's do a little math

3,000/ 2,000,000 = .0015

3,000/ 5,000,000 = .0006

now lets do guns and gun owners

150,000 / 100,000,000 = .0015 (that's hilarious how that works out, i didn't even try to set that up)

150,000 / 300,000,000 = .0005

now, of course i could make the argument about 50% of firearms homicides are gang homicides and therefore have no connection with the safety of non gang members. but i wont because A. i don't need to and B. it pisses of progressives that we can reasonably cut gun violence statistics in half.

TL; DR

depending on your definition and summation of stats and how you measure homicides you are either (when controlled for population of potential aggressor, as in likely hood of any one person killing you)

A. eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer so slightly more likely to die due to Islamic terror then to firearms to the point i would say they are the same likely hood.

or B.

slightly more then 50% as likely to die from a firearm homicide as Islamic terror.
