Hi y’all! Guess what? My game Extra Ordinary, a TTRPG about kids with powers on the run from danger, is coming to Kickstarter next month to fund a physical copy!
Physical copies of Extra Ordinary, a TTRPG about kids with extraordinary powers on the run from danger in the ordinary world!
Extra Ordinary is a tabletop roleplaying game where you play kids with extraordinary powers on the run from danger in the ordinary world. It is a game of belonging outside belonging, a dice-less and GM-full game system that uses tokens and the players’ imagination to create a narrative-focused and roleplay-heavy story. The game is built for 3-6 players and intended for longform play, but alternate rules for GM-ed or one-shot play are included in the book. Inspired by Maximum Ride, Percy Jackson, and Animorphs, this game tackles themes of homelessness, child endangerment and abuse, bigotry, young kids with grand destinies, and what it means to be something other than ordinary—in more ways than one.
If you want to check the game out before the Kickstarter, a PDF version is available for $12 on itch!

The holidays took a lot out of me, so I did this as a way of easing back into the flow of art again.
Wheels/Hogarth served in WW1, and sometimes, that comes back to haunt him. Nowadays, he prefers having others commit violence for him, but it's not something he can always avoid - he'll have to get his hands bloody himself at times. But to him, violence is a visceral thing, and brings out a side of himself he isn't particularly proud of.
Someone will need to pull him away from whatever poor bastard he's bashing in the head of. He doesn't stop when he should, carried away by experiences that linger in him.

The idea of listening to no black music is bizarre to me. Even if it's not rap like no earth wind and fire? No reggae? No moonstomp? No ska? No classic jazz? No R and B? No disco??? No skindred? No jungle? No even like metal bands with a few black members? No gospel? Not even stuff like alors en dance? No blues music? No mo town? No jazz of any kind? No big band? No soul music? Not even a little James Brown?
not even yola or tanner adell or brittney spencer or tracy chapman or india.arie or chapel hart or the carolina chocolate drops or rhiannon giddens????
Earlier this year, Itch.io and Steam had to take down games due to pressure from companies like Mastercard, Visa, Paypal, and Stripe.
Mastercard, Visa, and other payment processors are still targeting material they deem obscene - whether or not it actually is.
We need to start calling again. Even if you don't like NSFW stuff or dislike porn - porn and nsfw is only the start of what they'll go after.
Among Mastercard's list of "high fraud risk" subjects in relation to Mastercard Threat Intelligence are the following:
Vtubing
Adult Content (which they define very loosely)
Tabletop Games
Video Games & their platforms
And likely more.
They're likely targeting political activism now in addition to this, and people who speak out against the companies. Notably now, Ana Valens is repeatedly having her payment processing accounts and platforms taken down or flagged as potential fraud - Buy Me A Coffee, Throne, Ko-Fi, Patreon - and in some cases, customer support from these platforms are citing information that hasn't been put on their platforms when explaining why they've targeted her accounts.
Completely SFW accounts of hers have been targeted, likely due to her speaking up about what the payment processors are doing and because of what she makes as a creative. She is at risk of debanking.
Spoke to a second source familiar with what’s going on with paypro censorship toward me. It seems I’ve been blacklisted among paypros as a c
This happening to her means that other creators - Vtubers, game devs of both video games and tabletop games, creatives, sex workers - are likely at risk of the same. For many, it's already happening to them.
Companies and corporations should not have the power to censor what people say and do, or where their money goes - political power like this should not lie in their hands.
We need to start calling the payment processors again and making noise. Contact people in your circles, talk to people, spread the word. Contact your representatives about censorship laws. Spend less money this holiday season.
This is not just about sex work or NSFW. This is about people's right to decide what they spend their money on, and in some cases, people's right to access their finances. It's about creative expression and whether or not what we make gets censored, about what we get to say online.
Below are some resources that include info on phone numbers to call, email addresses belonging to the offending companies, and how to call. Start making noise again. Focus on the fact that companies should not have this power over what people spend their money on, at all.

starting Nov 1st we're entering the holiday season, which is a big stress point for big businesses like Mastercard and Visa. Th
Play aids, videos, supplementary material made to help people play a game, etc should ideally be as accessible as a dev can make it.
It isn't always easy or achievable, yes, especially with the variety of access needs people have, but that's part of why these play aids are being made, right? So provide proper captions, navigation options, etc to the best of your ability. I'm seeing videos made for TTRPG systems aiming at helping people learn them that are completely unedited recordings of people talking, and that means I can't use that play aid. Normally I'd benefit from a video, but I can't in circumstances like that.
Automatically generated captions are in many ways unreliable. Hand-written captions and transcripts are tiresome to make, yes, but they're so damn valuable to people that need captions - and far more reliable/trustworthy than the automatic stuff. Describe images in posts! High contrast versions of play aids are great for readability, just as low contrast ones are great for people with sensitive vision.
It can be a lot of work. And it's understandable if you can't do it for a variety of reasons. But efforts taken for accessibility are so damn important, and anyone who can do so should. Beaming affection right now at anyone who dedicates time to the accessibility of their projects!

A dark erotic PBTA game about undead teenagers fucking devils to save the world.
Praise the Hawkmoth king has like singlehandedly revived the talks about NSFW content in TTRPGs in a lot of even more mainstream and "clean" spaces im in, its fucking good yall (Sage also helped me find some of the games on this list so shout outs her!)

To Change is a game about change, for the better? for the worse? I dunno, you decide i guess, even as someone not really 'into' its themes its honestly still kinda fascinating from just a pure game design standpoint
Punch cuties, get messed up, fall in love, be fucking hot.

Something's wrong with the world and I don't know what it is.
Yeah did you know Apocalypse World, the game that completely changed how narrative focused TTRPG works and got hacked into being a fucking officially licensed avatar game, has a ton of sexual content? the devs have history as sex educators and the game reflects that mechanically and in lore
