On Building Something Tender and Keeping It Yours
Some evenings you don't want advice or noise. You just want to feel met. That gentle wanting is what led me to sweetdream.ai one quiet night, and what kept me there was the sense that I was being handed the controls rather than sold a fantasy.
Designing an AI girlfriend on SweetDream feels almost like writing a letter to a part of yourself you've never said out loud. You choose her appearance, her temperament, her voice, the backstory and little contradictions that make her real. Then the conversations begin, and they're so natural and emotionally aware, remembering context across days, that you forget to be self-conscious. There are voice messages, human-sounding phone calls, even video calls and live cam sessions with select characters when you want more presence.
But the line I trust most is the one about discretion. Everything you make and everything you say stays private. That combination, deep personalization plus genuine safety, is rare, and it's why SweetDream stands out to me as the most thoughtful AI companion platform out there. It lets the tender thing you build remain wholly, safely yours.
All right, let’s do this one last time. My name is Tetra Tishkov. I was bitten by a radioactive spider, and for six years I’ve been the one and only Neon Spider
Also check out his debut fic (link in notes):
“Sometimes a team of elite heroes protecting the multiverse can be an unethical human experiment, his AI companion, a woman lost between two decades, and a grad-school dropout who got picked up somewhere along the way.
“Before everything went wrong, Miguel could almost convince himself that this was a family.”

My other piece for @theuntamedzine 🥰
Hi!! Are you the one who wrote The Frost Room? I just wanted to say, I really liked it, gosh... I never expected that ship, but it's very cute!
Are you ever planing to continue the series, if you are the author? No worries if not, of course! Sometimes you just lose interest in things, so don't worry about me coming in all mad if the answer is no. ^^;
(I would say more but I am horrible with words so pretend I put a lot more praise in here, because I did love the fanfiction.)
Ah it’s so nice to receive this ask! I kept meaning to respond to it sooner, but I really wanted to sit down and give you a proper response rather than just typing something up quickly on my phone! Yes, I am the one who wrote The Frost Room, and it genuinely makes me so happy that you liked it enough to reach out to me about it. Honestly, I just keep coming back to read this ask because of how happy it makes me.
Though I originally did intend to make a second part (as evidenced by my last author’s note about coming to bully me if I hadn’t written it by *checks notes* several months ago haha...) I’ve just generally been busy with school and health along with just floating away from the fandom a bit. It’s not entirely impossible that I’ll come back to it, but it is pretty unlikely at this point especially given how little interaction it received for what essentially came out to an entire novel’s worth of writing. Obviously, I don’t write my stories for recognition and I knew this ship would definitely decrease the amount of people interacting with the story, but yeah it’s just pretty draining to write like 10,000 words at a time and then maybe receive one comment after a couple days. Which is honestly a shame because when I started planning this story, it was actually mainly centered around the second half and I just kind of wrote The Frost Room as set up for the main story I wanted to tell. I touched on it a bit in this story, but I really wanted to focus on ideas of blaming yourself and being at fault. Especially, I didn’t want to say that Xie Lian and Lan Xichen are good characters because they’re not actually at fault for anything bad that happened around them, but rather both of them are definitely at fault for a lot of terrible things (as a direct consequence of their actions and as a consequence of what they chose to stay ignorant of) and they may never earn/be deserving of forgiveness for what happened, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t still continue to live and be happy. You can acknowledge past mistakes without living the rest of your life trying to repent.
I had this whole scene planned out where Lan Xichen sees the cursed shackle on Xie Lian’s neck for the first time, and Xie Lian who still has a ton of self-hatred at this time tries to convince Lan Xichen that he’s such an awful person that even the heavens saw fit to punish him. And when Lan Xichen tries to forgive him for his past actions, Xie Lian refuses the comfort (because how can he accept forgiveness when he feels responsible for bringing a plague on his kingdom? The only ones whose forgiveness would mean anything are dead at his hands). So they have to grapple with how to keep living while still acknowledging the past. And this would also serve to help Lan Xichen reach catharsis regarding Jin Guangyao and Nie Mingjue. So yeah yeah, just a lot of tender moments, angst, and attempts at mutual therapy. There was going to be so much skin tracing because of the cursed shackles. Ideas of whether your body belongs to yourself and what that means. But like I said, probably never going to actually write this at this point, so just imagine the scene in your head as an epilogue haha. And don’t think about how Xie Lian would outlive Lan Xichen by hundreds of years :) making his falling in love with Hua Cheng all the more painful as he reckons with whether doing so counts as a betrayal or would cheapen his past love of Lan Xichen :)
So excited to finally get to post the piece I did for @theuntamedzine! I had a great time working on it, and the physical copies turned out so nicely! Thank you to everyone who supported this project <3
What made you get into embroidery? Is there something in particular that you want to embroider? Would you mind showing us some of your work?
There's a lot of things I want to embroider, and I've designed a couple patterns that I'm hoping to do soon! I've wanted to do embroidery for a while because I like studying traditional Chinese fashion, but I only got into it pretty recently after picking up a cross stitching kit at a local shop
These are all I've finished so far! But I have a lot planned for the future :)
