Dissociation Starters
FROM THE EMPTY
“No… I’m not hurt.”
“I don’t…”
“… Sorry. Say that again?”
“Sometimes I just … do this. It’s fine.”
“No, it’s bad, but I’m. Like. I’m fine. Just give me like, ten minutes.”
“I don’t - I don’t remember.”
“You waited how long?”
“… I don’t like [trigger].”
“Will you walk me home?”
“I love you, I just… I can’t… I’m dissociating.”
“I.. don’t know how I got here.”
“I didn’t feel that. At all.”
“Did I zone out?”
“Don’t touch me.”
“My name is [name]. I’m [age]. I live in [place]. My name is [name] -”
“I can’t think of anything to do that isn’t stupid, canyouhelpme?”
“How did you find me?”
“I think I’m in [different State]. Will you come?”
FROM THE FULL
“Hey. [Name]? Look at me.”
“I’m right here.”
“How long have you been sitting here?”
“What happened?”
“Your shirt is on backwards.”
“Is it okay if I touch you?”
“It’s windy today. This bench has a nice texture, don’t you think?”
“Do you mind if I sit with you?”
“Okay, I’ll be here.”
“Hey - come in. Don’t worry about it. I’m glad you came.”
“Drink some water. It has ice.”
“I’ll run a shower.”
“Let me wash it for you.”
“I can’t clean you up if I can’t touch you. Will you give me your hand?”
“We’ll ride it out. You’re safe here.”
“I’ll put on a movie.”
Hello! I’ve been interested in roleplaying, but I’ve always thought the (DW RP) fandom was pretty nonexistent these days. Since you’re actually in it, how large would you say it is (with emphasis on classic who)?
Hi there : ) Thanks for dropping in. The Dr.Who roleplay scene is pretty slim indeed. I find more companions than Doctors. I find more from NuWho than the Classics. Of course, it also depends on what you're looking for. I find many more short-form players than multi-paragraph much less Novela length. There is also a considerably larger contingent of players from the 13th Doctor's Era and her companions. However, the players ARE out there. Even the Classics can be found. I've also found some friends by using the tumblr search for "Doctor Who Masterlist" or "Doctor Who Roleplay Masterlist". There are some of those out there where folks are looking for RP partners, even the Classics. You'll also find a nice contingent of original characters as well. I think it would be great if you joined the roles of Dr.Who RP'rs. We can always use another in the ranks, even if it's just a side character that doesn't get a lot of attention. The more the merrier. If you decide to put up a Doctor Who RP blog, I'd love it if you'd share it with me. I may not write with you, but I might be able to point you in the direction of someone who might. Heck, I might even reblog an advertisement for you. All the best to you, and good luck!
Added note, activity levels do vary, as I am on here constantly (this is a side blog... one of many. I.. may have too many thoughts happening at once), but I don’t regularly write Nine on Tumblr.
So your mileage may vary, depending on whom you wish to interact with.

“Did you think I was gone forever?”
“You remember my last conversation with <name> didn’t go exactly as I had hoped?”
“Those dreams are trying to tell me something!”
“We can’t tell anyone about that night.”
“Why wouldn’t someone like me?”
“Wait, so are we friends again?”
“Hello? Is anybody down there?!”
“Sorry. It’s just… this was my big chance for you to finally take me seriously.”
“Help you? Yes! I-I mean, I’d I’d love to. Hey! If-If I help you, you can help me and be my assistant! - It’ll only take a minute!”
“Oh, really? You sure you wanna put a label on it?”
“Yeah. No problem. It’s the kind of thing friends do, right?”
“Back off, boy! I’m a scientist.”
“But it’s mostly your fault.”
“Okay, this double date needs to end now! You guys are totally embarrassing me.”
“Okay, for the record, nobody’s life was threatened until you showed up.”
“All alone, huh? So am I. Most of the time. If you want, you can stay with me, then neither of us will be alone ever.”
“It’s a good likeness, but why does he look so terrified?”
“I was so worried about you. I love you so much. You mean everything to me.”
“Is this were for a popularity contest, you would come in first place.”
“You kicked butt and saved the day. What are you upset about?”
“Wow. Really!? You’re actually doing this?“
“Oh, come now. We don’t know if any of this is your fault.”
“Would you say your dad has been a really reliable source of information?”
“ It can be hard to look away from shiny things, huh, buddy?”
DC Inspired Magic!Anon list!
[Time for duration must be defined by the anonymous sender!]
✹ Dark Multiverse: All things went wrong with your Muse’s story and they are now the darkest version they could possibly be, perhaps even beyond any redemption!
◑ Antimatter Universe: Good Muses become evil and evil Muses become good. Heroes and Villains are reversed!
♛ Earth-395: Muse is decked in Medieval armor/clothing and believes they have been sent to the future, far from their original medieval fantasy reality!
✯ Earth-898: Muse believes they’re from the wild west and have to adapt to the modern world!
◌ Mirror World: Muse looks and feels exactly the same, however they slowly come to the realization that they are a mirror clone.
◎ Beware my power: Congratulations! Your Muse has been chosen by a power ring [anon’s choice] and have all the powers (and weaknesses) of such Lantern Corp. If your character is already a Lantern, time to give them a different ring.
✵ Cigam!: Muses now suddenly have magic powers (the kind might be up to the anon or Mun) and muses who use magic or are cursed with it are now just regular people.
✐ Deus Ex Machina: Muse is now aware that they are a character, all actions and decisions they make are written by someone else. They might attempt to communicate with their Mun, if they allow it.
♫ Mayhem of the Music Meister: The Muse can only communicate through singing!
➊ Year One: The Muse is now the age they were before the turning point of their origin story, that one bad/good day that turned them into what they are with no memories of what happened after that. Will things go differently this time around?
im gonna watch dr. who in chronological order by the time period they travel to

A WARNING TO THE RPC REGARDING KRYS ( @VIVELAREVOLUTIONMONAMI / WEARENOTTHESAMEASYESTERDAY )
WARNINGS FOR : SUICIDE MENTIONS, MANIPULATION, BULLYING, GASLIGHTING, INCEST MENTIONS, ABLEISM, ABUSE, DECEIT AND POSSESSIVENESS.
This is a post designed to warn the roleplay community of the user known as Krys or Krystal, found under the URLs vivelarevolutionmonami and wearenotthesameasyesterday. She is primarily active within the historical community, but also has muses involved in DC, Star Wars and other main franchises and RPCs. This callout is written by multiple people, all of whom have been negatively impacted by Krys’ behaviour and are concerned at the patterns they have noticed regarding her treatment of not only her writing partners, but of the mentally ill members of this community and people who are neurodivergent. ( Please like / reblog this post so we know who it has reached and who has seen it. )
Originally, the people involved in this post were going to let sleeping dogs lie and were not going to speak up on the mistreatment they had received, but this changed a few days ago when Krys publicly humiliated a mentally-ill teenager, claimed that their recent attempt had been faked and tried to make other people believe them when they posted no proof. Enough is enough, Krys, and you will not be allowed to mistreat and harm anybody else in this community again.
This callout does name Kier as a victim by name, but we would like to assert that Kier has had no direct involvement with the creation of this callout as they are still recovering and wish to be left out of this. We merely sought permission to use their name as Krys publicly namedropped them two days ago. THAT BEING SAID, DO NOT USE THIS WARNING AS AN EXCUSE TO SEND HATE TO ANYONE. Hate is never tolerated. This is solely to prevent people from being hurt, and we will not be forced to remain silent any longer.
HERE IS A LINK TO THE FULL CALLOUT.
What is it?
RPers, please reblog this if you’re ok with para responses that don’t include dialogue.
Often it seems like an expectation that dialogue will be exchanged in every para response, but sometimes characters are nonverbal, or don’t have anything to say, or are in a situation that would make talking impractical. If the writer puts enough attention into describing their actions, though, there’s still plenty to respond to even without dialogue. Non-dialogue responses are not “going nowhere.” Non-dialogue responses are not “filler.” Non-dialogue responses are not non-responses.

There was... a lot on Sunday about Sarah Jane Smith. Because nine years ago, we lost Elisabeth Sladen, quite possibly one of the best people to have ever graced this planet. She played one of the most iconic characters to ever grace our screens, was beloved by multiple generations because she played the character with such grace, such unfailing kindness that we were all inspired by her.
Sarah Jane Smith is such a human character because Sladen didn’t shy away from letting Sarah be human, have faults. She set the standard for what a companion could be, could do. And in or out of character, she was unfailingly a superhero.
All of us, every single fan of Doctor Who, is part of her legacy. Doesn’t matter when or how or where you got into the show, you will undoubtedly venture into the stories she was in and she may not become your favorite companion, but you will fall in love nonetheless because Sladen imbued this character with such life that her costar Ian Marter would write a novelization of one of their stories and he would give Sarah more to do because he loved the character so much.
Like the line in Hamilton goes, Legacy, what is a legacy? It's planting seeds in a garden you never get to see. She’ll never know how much of an impact she had on us, what a legacy she left behind, and how that legacy will live on, burning bright because we will keep the flame. A legacy to protect.
The Mummy dir. Stephen Sommers (1999)
