It's hard to believe our little podcast is getting ready to head to preschool.
Unprepared Casters has just turned four years old! It is very easy to lose sight of how amazing that milestone is when you're spending time playing make believe with your friends. In this past year you all helped us pass a $100,000 milestone in donations for TransLifeline. What started as a one-off charity stream has become the most amazing thing this podcast has helped foster. Last year we also did our very first live show at GenCon, followed closesly by our first studio recorded video episodes premiering on YouTube. Also, just a few weeks ago, we released Before the Tavern, a book that we could not have even dreamt of making without having the support from this audience! It's been a busy year, now that we think about it.
We know you're here for the podcast, but we are so grateful that you give us the support to experiment and create in new and exciting ways, across different game systems and media. To all of the listeners, all of our Patrons, all of the cast members who have graced us with their presence and company, and our production team who has spent hundreds of hours making our show what it is today, thank you.
We've had a lot of fun! And no matter what uncertainties the world holds, we will stay silly, stay queer, and we'll be here for you, like you've been here for us. ‹3

Helloooo~! We want to do something for the upcoming UC Anniversary, so we are bringing back the UC Fanwork Celebration of Love and Joy!
It will be a little differently than its first run in 2023, mainly that it is in March instead of August and will be a weekend instead of a full week.
This event will take place on March 15th and 16th and the prompts will be the same as its initial run, with you being able to pick which prompts you wish to do (or, if you are indecisive, be able to roll a die to pick! roll a d8 and reroll twice if its an 8.)
We will be reblogging the prompt explanation posts in the following week, although you can find the previous prompt posts here, down at the bottom, if you dont want to wait. Since we are reblogging them, make sure to follow the blog to see the prompts!

At least one of the guests (actual guests! Who have been on the podcast!!!) follows me on my art blog (i know sedona does, i dont remember if others do)
sometimes i'll be talking to someone on the uc discord server and they'll mention something about a fic they wrote and i'll be like HOLY SHIT YOU WROTE THAT FIC!! IT WAS SO GOOD!
This fandom is literally the reason i started drawing and writing fanfic, i was starved for fan content so i decided i might as well create it myself
