Fun to hang out with, sassy, flashy and makes everybody laugh so the moment these two met it’s Boom, here goes the dynamite. Instant crush for Buggy that is scared of those feelings while reader plays the cat and mouse game but in reality his heart his soft for that clown and his drama queen’s ass. And the more they spend time together the more Buggy knows him and realize that his past is very dark and traumatic but despite that he’s still a genuine and caring dude that just wanna have fun. He always thought crushes weren't for him, swearing it was a stupid thing and only idiots fell into it.
Yet here he was, facing you, his heart beating loudly in his chest at your smirk. Gah ! Why did it do that !?
He refuses to acknowledge it. Preferring to deny his feelings rather than to accept them.
Despite this, it doesn't stop him from feeling jealous when you make others laugh. He'll lie and say it's because he should be the one to make people laugh, not you.
He keeps chasing you away. He hates that you always come back. Always playing with his heart, making it beat so fast and loudly. Making him feel like a little girl experiencing stomach butterflies for the first time, each time. He hates it.
Yet a part of him yearns for you to not leave.
You're just so… gah ! He groans just from thinking of you. Annoying, unpleasant, not funny, not pretty, not interesting, not charming, overall not flashy at all. Here !
He's grumbling and groaning.
"...fucking [Name]... with his stupid smile… and his stupid-"
"Who ?" You lean against the table as you walk in with a smile and he screams, his limbs flying around before reattaching themselves.
"Since when do you spy on your captain !?" He yells, hands flying to point at you, poking your nose repeatedly.
"I have to listen at any time to my captain to hear all his orders." You simply say, raising your hands up in surrender and grabbing his index to push it away, a small smile on your face.
He dusts himself, trying to regain his composure and clearing his throat.
"Who were you talking about ?" You ask.
"No one. Go fetch me a beer." He said, looking away with a grimace, watching you leave to retrieve the drink. God, you made his heart jump out of his body. What the fuck. Why are you always stealthy at the worst times ?
When he finally accepts his feelings, he's very shy about them. But since you're always onto him like a fucking… a fucking… whatever, something annoying, he's scared you might find out about them, that's why he's always tense around you.
He learns most things about you through others and that's what makes him decide to know you more by himself. Though he's a bit awkward at first, he doesn't even know how happy you are to see that he's stopping to chase you away so much.
Upon hearing you have a troubled past, he tries to be nicer, not out of pity but because "You're not a fucker, actually.". Make out of that what you want.
It also breaks his heart a bit to hear what you went through but he refuses to say it or acknowledge it.
He's still very wary and cautious around you. Not wanting you to know about his feelings and laugh at him or reject him. He's very afraid of that. He doesn't know how he'll handle it. So he prefers to stare from afar, yearning silently, unaware you feel the same for him. Maybe one day his feelings will pass ?
He's quite calmer once you get to know him, he's still a drama queen and reacts quickly and easily though. But if nothing happens and things are fine then he's really chill. He's just going to whine that he's bored.
"[Name], entertain me." He says, resting lazily on his throne.
"Shouldn't it be the opposite ?" You cock an eyebrow.
"I'm the captain, I decide what makes sense and what doesn't. Entertain me."
"Okay."
He slowly learns to relax around you, but still refuses to be vulnerable. He doesn't want to be soft like some pirates he knew. But he's already soft, he just doesn't know it. Blissfully unaware.
You already have a lot of power on him though and he hates it. You could briefly mention you want to sail away and he's already preparing the Big Top for departure because he, oh, so conveniently got bored of that island.
You have all his attention and he's not a fan of it. He used to care only for treasures now it's you and treasures. He doesn't know which one to put first. Some days it's treasures and as soon as he sees you, boom, you're on top. Why do you do that ?
He thinks he's slick at hiding his feelings, but he's not. Everyone has noticed that you have his attention, and they often ask you to deliver him the bad news.
Here how it goes with someone else :
"What !?" He yells and grabs them by the collar, raising them in the air a bit. "Full of toys you say !?"
"Y- yes captain."
"You're the one that brought me that map and you couldn't tell it was a children's map !?" He begins to shake them still yelling in their face.
"I'm sorry, captain !" They yell in distress. Clearly they should've asked you to deliver the news.
Here how it goes with you :
"What !?" He yells, hands flying to grab your collar and you shrug. "The chest was full of toys !? Not even gold !?"
"Nope. Not even one Berry."
What follows is his inaudible grumbling as he stomps around angrily almost like a child throwing a tantrum. He might kick something, hurting his foot in the process.
"Here, here." You grab his hands, still on your collar, gently patting them.
At some point it's only you who's bringing the bad news and he wonders why. You're always smiling when you tell him the worst things and he thinks it's because you enjoy it. You do but it's mainly because you find it funny how the others have clocked him.
You're the captain's favorite and they know it.
Don't expect him to make the first step. He could spend his whole life yearning for you and doing nothing about it. Only drunk he might do something but as soon as he's sober he's running away. What he says when drunk is quite unintelligible anyway. Half mumbled nonsense then yelling something totally unrelated.
So when you made the first step his mind was blank.
God. God. God. God. God. God. God. Go- what the fuuuuuck. Huh ? Huh ? Huh ? Huh ?
You must mistake him with someone else. Because who could have romantic feelings for him ? Ahah.
Oh, you really mean him ?
He's blushing. Heart pounding, trying to escape. He can't move. In his mind he's doing things.
He finally reacts when you caress his cheek. He's leaning in quickly to steal a kiss from your lips. His heart is still jumping around, and for a moment, he wonders if he did the right thing because he just kissed you, and that's a big thing. But he sees your smile and calms down just a bit.
Ya know what. I really have to make this better. Like ok it’s my first mini comic so whatever but next time (since i have other ideas) i’ll def have to be better. First step: proper title for the comic, then better panels and of course POST FAST BC I’M TOO 🐌🐌🐌 AT DRAWING

His Biggest Fan
How he did not notice you staring was a miracle. You knew it wasn't right, but how else could you make sure that it really was him?
Well, it probably didn't require that much to figure it out. After all, how many other pirates had long blue hair, a red nose, and that kind of make-up? At least, around where you were from, none.
That is why you had never expected to see him walk into this dingy little bar with his crew. You watched him from your table, from the edge of your cup, switching glances between his figure and the wanted poster that hung on the wall- more as an accomplishment than a warning, really- among the many others.
15 million Berry. A pirate doesn't get such a bounty for nothing. You had heard the tales of the Flashy Fool, the Genius Jester. The Ringleader of the most notorious outcasts and freaks in the East Blue, and somehow, he was sitting only two tables away from you.
You kept your eye on him the entire night, constantly egging yourself on to just go for it, to walk up to him and say something, anything.
Finally, encouraged by another large drink, you decided to make your move and walk over to the table.
He was sitting at the head of it, looking unimpressed as his crew drank the bar cry, smiling but never laughing at the jokes being made, generally uninterested by the conversations, thoughts far away from the island you all found yourselves on.
You cleared your throat, trying to call out his name, but it just got washed out by the noise around you. After another lost attempt, you tried to tap his shoulder, but before your hand reached it, his hand snapped up, nearly slapping you in the face.
'What?' He snapped alongside his limbs, looking over at you. His eyes glared with anger momentarily before softening up the slightest amount when he realised who was trying to speak to him.
'I'm sorry, sir.' You did your best to stop your voice from shaking. Some of his crew had stopped their conversations to look over at what their captain was doing, and you tried to ignore them as much as you could. 'Are you the pirate... Buggy?'
The acknowledgement sparked something up in him, and the corners of his wide smile grew even larger.
'The one and only,' he nodded his head, pleased, 'and who may you be?'
Nervously, you introduced yourself and watched him mouth your name to himself, grinning that wicked grin of his.
'I've heard a lot about you- about the things you've done. It's- well, it is quite impressiveve.'
'Why, thank you.' He cocked his head to the side, almost in bewilderment at the fact that someone might have found his accomplishments noteworthy. 'So, is there anything I can help you with?'
'Oh,' well, now that you were here, you weren't really sure what you had expected from approaching the pirate. 'No, I just wanted to- I'm not really sure.' You laughed off your own nerves and the silliness of the situation.
'Now, now, honey, no need to get so shy with me.' He picked up his drink. 'Tell me, are you a pirate?'
'Me? Oh no,' you, who never had left your small island and lived your days working on your family's farm outside of town, where the only form of excitement was to meet the fascinating figures that sailed by the harbour. 'I'm just-'
'A fan?' Buggy filled the gap in for you. 'Admirer?'
'I suppose so.' Your cheeks flushed hot.
'Never considered just sailing off into the distance? Seeking treasure and fame? No?' He read your body language as you responded to him with a shaking head. 'No. I wouldn't think so.'
He smiled at you, and so the quick turn from this kindness to the manic yell he shot at his crew, who had been giving him interested looks, was startling 'What the hell are you morons looking at?' he shouted out. The shock of it was enhanced by the fact that he reverted back to you and his smile just as quickly afterwards.
It should have scared you. Perhaps it even did, but you easily could have mistaken the fear for excitement. There was just something so raw and refreshing about the pirate captain, something you had never seen in any man before.
Buggy leaned over the table to look up at you, knuckles under his chin. 'But I bet you would want to go on a big adventure, hmm?'
'Uhm...'
'Go out into the world, follow your dreams? I'm sure there is something out there you'd want?' But was there? Your world so far had been so small that dreams had never even felt like an option.
When you didn't answer, Buggy sat back in his chair. 'Perhaps not. The pirate life isn't for everyone, is it, sugar?' He chuckled. 'Anything else I can do you for? An autograph maybe?'
'Oh, I don't mean to bo-' you didn't want to seem like the annoying kind of "fan", after all, but Buggy wasn't having any of it.
'Nonsense!' He clicked his fingers, and someone at the other end of the table got up and ripped the captain's wanted poster off the wall. They handed it to him as Buggy pulled a pen from the inside of his coat, signing his name in large, scratchy letters. 'Anything for my... biggest fan.'
Another hot flash came over your face as he handed you the poster.
'Thank you,' you said, unsure. Surprised. For an infamous pirate with a bounty of millions of Berry on his head, he was nothing like you had expected him to be. Not with that smile he gave you or the wink he had sent you off with.
And so, you left the bar. A big smile adorned your face, and you thought of your interaction with Buggy for the rest of the night.
And he did, too. He kept you in his mind's eye as he listened to his crew's schemes on how to take charge of the island they had just sailed to. The plans they had for the citizens. He could already see it take shape. The biggest audience he's ever had, all sitting and watching him. Crying and laughing with him. With you, his number one fan, as his special guest of honour.

Is it only me or when something terrible happens, even if you’re not involved, your anxiety gets ingestible. Especially when it involves people causing terrible things. It makes me so afraid of society and i start to think it could also happen to me that i just wanna shut down my brain.
It’s been weeks now that i’m scared, overwhelmed, tachycardia and insomnia. I just want it to stop

I have left my ipad to enjoy pastels again. It’s my mom’s gift, ok? I like pastels and paper now… also it’s been almost a week now that i tried to set some boundaries with my friends and they don’t seem to like it one bit. Apparently they don’t care about what it upsets me and just want to do whatever they want and now they’re giving me the silent treatment. I might just accept, after 10 years, that they’re toxic relationships and cut ties with them. Still i feel like garbage.
