Basically I had an inclination to post fandom (windbreaker) related stuff but then didnโt want to spoilers things for my 12 followers so decided to make a side blog. Probably Iโll end up posting about more than just windbreaker, maybe Iโll post stuff not even fandom related, maybe I wonโt even actually end up making even one post at all, who knows, hard to say
Hi! I've seen ppl do this for the jp raws and since I haven't seen anyone do an analysis of the hindi text yet I thought I'd do it myself :)
Obligatory disclaimer that while I'm a more or less fluent native speaker, hindi is still my second language so you're free to point out any mistakes I make.
Now, a few points I'd like to cover before we begin:
I believe there's a human translator working on the hindi text due to various reasons and they did a pretty good job for the most part. However, there seems to perhaps be some issue with the text processor that the manga editorial uses to typeset the text in the manga because it has consistently fucked up the conjunct consonantsโseparating the two in some cases, and entirely omitting them in others, making certain lines look like complete gibberish.
In general, I feel like the english translation does a better job of expressing the actual emotions on display in the manga, so I'm not really aiming to improve upon that here. Please calibrate your expectations of the post accordingly as I'll be solely focusing on analyzing the hindi text ^^
I'll be following the format of: original text (with any typos fixed), a transcript, my translation of the text where I'll try to be as literal as possible, followed by my opinion of it, and suggestions for improvement for the lines that don't make much sense.
Some parts were really short phrases with little room for error so I've simply just transcribed those without any comments. I've also occassionally paired up some lines that needed to be looked at together to make sense.
Long post under the cut

Could either be "abbey ruk jaa!" or "oy ruk jaa!"
If I were to follow the english translation, it would be "udhar gaya! oy, ruk jaa!"
ruk jaa!
stop right there!
Fine
oy harami bacchey!
oi bastard kid!
I'm sorry but I snorted a bit at this. I'd initially thought sensei would be using mtl for the hindi after seeing a misspelled shop name in the prev chapter and seeing straight up cussing kinda took me out here lmfao. That being said harami bacchey sounds kinda awkward to me. "Abbey harami ke bacchey" (oi you little bastard) would be better.
abhi!
now!
pakro usey!
catch him!
Okay, so. A lot going on here. Sentences are grammatically fine but kinda all over the place tone-wise and the arrangement of the lines feels very awkward. Also strangely isolatory manner of speaking considering both the parties are in groups. They should be using "we" and "you people" instead of "I" and "you".
tumhey pehle kabhi nahi dekha.
Never seen you before.
You can probably tell but it sound very very flat compared to the tone from before. Also I can't quite see a guy calling some kid harami for stealing food refer at least semi respectfully to a guy who's shielding said kid and also looks like an outsider. Something like " tujhe pehle toh yaha kahi dekha nahi" (never seen you(rude) around here before) would be more apt. But this also kinda repeats the same idea as the following line so I feel like asking "kaun ho tumlog?"(who are you people) would be more fitting here.
kya tum iss sheher ke nahi ho?
Are you not from this city?
Yet again sounds stiff and also just repeats the previous idea like I said. Better framing below.
use mere hawale karo!
Hand him over to me!
This is mostly fine. Putting this at the beginning would be better though since y'know. The kid's their main target n all.
So putting it all togetherโ "Bacchey ko humare hawale karo. Aur kaun ho tumlog? Iss sheher ke toh nahi lagte" (Hand the kid over to us. And who are you people? You don't seem to be from here, do you?)

Fine by itself. "Pehle tum logo ki baat sunte hain" sounds a tad bit better to me personally. But the meaning stands the same so *shrugs* y'know.

Sentence looks kinda incomplete here. "Kya hua yaha par" (what happened here) would be more apt.

I was about to catch (him) but these people came out of nowhere to stop me!
Fine grammatically. Last part sounds a bit flat again so "main pakarne hi wala tha, par yeh log beech main tang arane aa gaye..." (I was just about to catch (him) but these people came to meddle out of nowhere) would be better.

Fine but it feels a little weird that he'd go back to directly threatening the boys while being surrounded and questioned by the Red Chanpuru
Note before I begin: I feel like the translator took a lot of care while doing Rakta's parts because he sounds SO gentle and comforting compared to the guys chasing the kid. He doesn't show excessive sentimentality as you can see but he still takes a lot of care with the words he chooses. He's quite calm and composed while dealing with the guys chasing the kid too and uses respectful speech towards them as well (and still manages to come off as intimidating)
The lines here are also mostly fine so I'll simply just transcribe them.

An "alright"(thik hain) would've sounded more comforting here but that would also kinda be forgiving him and the RC doesn't seem keen on excessively involving themselves in conflicts so a simple okay seems in character for one of them.

Calling Umemiya a man here feels weird cuz he pretty obviously looks about Rakta's age? But maybe he was trying to be polite idk.

Yeah lol, y'all can tell what went wrong here right? The word for outsider is "baharwala". Probably just slipped the translator's mind.
The last line and this together sound very weird. Yet again something like "tujh jaise baharwale ko lagta hain...." (Does an outsider like you think.... that just throwing money (at me) would fix everything?!)

woh kehta hai ki use marne ki baat woh nahi uthaega
he's saying that he won't raise the issue of you hitting him
Yeah the second part doesn't make much sense. But something like this is kinda difficult to express in hindi. I've been thinking about it all day and the best I can come up with is something like "woh kehta hai ki woh bura nahi manega ki tumne use mara" (he says he doesn't mind that you hit him)
Could also be "woh kehta hain ki usko koi fark nahi parta ki tumne use mara" (he's saying he doesn't care that you hit him) but that kinda changes the meaning of the whole thing.

Make sure you explain it well to him!
The word for to explain(samjhana) can also be used as an euphemism for scolding someone and I'm sure that's the way he's using it here so the official translation of the line is the closest to the intended meaning. My translation is what the line literally means.
And that's it! That was a lot of work but I'm insane so it's ok. I don't know if I have it in me to do this again if there's more hindi in later chapters so this is it for now, bye <3
I genuinely believe Nirei is going to become scary strong. Also I donโt think Suo is going to come back as a Furin student but I think they will be together often still (Iโm not saying I want that to happen, I honestly donโt know what I want to happen, but thatโs what I think will happen). But I donโt think heโll abandon his preexisting responsibilities. Also, also, I think Sugishita is going to take over for Suo rather than competing with Sakura. Now that heโs had his whole Umemiya Is Gonna Graduate realization it briefly seemed like he might compete with Sakura for the top spot, but I also kinda felt like that wasnโt gonna happen and now that Suoโs left I think heโs stepping up to fill the role.
Once Nirei learns to fight real well its over for everyone. If he can get the boys together with just a look and stern words, he'll be unstoppable learning the Hiragi technique of bonking heads to get their idiot Furin friends to focus lol
โAverage Bofurin students tells at least one lie on their student paperworkโ statistic actually false. Suo Hayato aka Sun Fei, who lied about everything on his paperwork, was an outlier and should not have been counted
