Nov 5, 2013: It was a special day. Professor Anderson took his students to visit a print atelier, L’Art des Taille-Doucier, in Coustellet. Visiting artist Catherine Brooks introduced the group to the director Elisabeth (Babette) Bascou who started off the visit with coffee and pastries. After a tour of the facility which includes 3 large vintage etching presses and one small one as well as all the necessary supplies, a gallery of prints they have executed, and the storage areas, Babette demonstrated how she prints. Starting with preparing the dampened paper, ink preparation,, proper wiping and then printing on the press. Her effervescent charm added with her passion for what she does made the trip a highlight for the students and professor.~ Larry
I had wet feet the whole time but it was OK because we were in Paris.~ C.C.

It was exceptional at night as well! We didn't forget to put our feet in the center of Paris. Also, I didn't forget to imitate Quasimodo...~ Jessica
This was one of the collages from Blumenfield's exhibit. His drawing really struck a chord with me because of how raw they were, but this one especially stuck with me. We had just arrived in Paris and walked straight from the train station to the museum. I felt very similar to this man.~ C.C.
The most perfect flower in the world.~ C.C.
Important things for important people! I am clearly a busy busy girl.~ C.C.

Professor Anderson took his printmaking students while in Paris to visit the National Library's restoration department to see how it is done. This is M. Roberts explaining the rice glue used in the process.
