Pokopia hits such a solemn note in it's story, I honestly appreciate that.

It's very much Dragon Quest Builders-esque in story mood, as well as in game mechanics. I am very happy that Dragon Quest Builders mechanics will reach such a wide audience because those mechanics are so fun! Pokopia is basically Dragon Quest Builders 3 in a way, with elevators, electricity wires, etc.

Not a fan of the bs limited time events though, like with Hoppip line. Take that FOMO bs out of single player games. Make it a permanent addition update, you should be able to buy a game and play it when YOU want to, with no time pressure.

I haven't bought a switch 2 nor Pokopia so I won't be playing, but I do hope people enjoy what's there. It's been such a long time since a Pokémon game has had so much care and polish put into it.

If you are out here openly shipping dark content unironically played straight as if that unhealthy dynamic is actually normal or healthy, do not interact with me please.

I don't see anything wrong with things like stories of a character finding a way out of a dangerous situation or finding a path to healing, that's not what I mean here.

Specifics below:

My issue is with unironically normalizing/encouraging things like: race fetishism, those in power preying on the vulnerable, ignoring platonic familial boundaries, etc.... especially for fandom T and below series.

I really need to learn how to code because I want to make easy to edit timelines for projects (I am unfortunately using static excel sheets instead of easy to use drag and drop calendar timelines)

and I want to make filtering menus for things, like sorting pokemon lines to determine if two lines can hybridize(why my ruleset) at a glance lol.

My rules for determining what pokemon lines can create pokemon hybrids:

● have the same body style between evolution stages,

● have the same number of evolution stages,

● shares the exact same egg group,

● The F pokemon determines pokemon species (aka body base), the M pokemon determines traits (aka color, patterns etc). (This reflects Pokemon's breeding mechanics where F pokemon determines offspring species and M pokemon passes down egg moves.)

This ruleset helps limit the number of hybrid possibilities because otherwise field egg group would be hundreds of designs alone lol.

I call it "pokemon hybrid" because irl hybrids have two versions, like Ligers(M Lion, F tiger) and Tions(M tiger, F lion).

(Obviously Ligers and Tions are not ethical to breed irl, just giving an explanation.)

I also hope pombom will be like Altaria, where the pokemon looks super skinny when water hits it lol. That might be a funny gag in the anime, where Pombon gets soaked, then poofs back up with a steam burst.
