I'm planning a new au and need your wisdom, it's an alive au and basically Sophie adopted all the main 8 after her son died and after she died none of the kids were old enough so Sam and Jay got the house and they didn't want to separate the kids so they adopted all of them, but that's all I got i need hellllppppp
Yes all the kids are a year apart that was intentional
I love the stair step idea, but I think it would fit more into the tragedy of none of them being old enough to get the house and take in the others if Thor as the oldest is 17 and months from turning 18. Not that DCFS would let him adopt 7 other kids, but they might have let him have custody of his biological sibling - Hetty.
Sophie had a lot of money, like too much so she gave them their own debit cards almost right away, they accounts automatically have money deposited every month. (Sam and Jay don't know about these cards, the kids just suddenly get new items - clothes, shoes, sports equipment, dance costumes - out of no where.)
Gordon "The Mighty Thor" - wrestling team captain, ultimate big brother vibes. He remember his parents and is so glad that his baby sister doesn't. They were the first ones who were adopted.
Sass - is having big issues feeling disconnected from his culture, he sneaks out to go to the Lenape cultural center in town. He is a foodie, he bonds with Jay over cooking. He learns to make foods that the others' biofamilies would make - empanadas, Jerk, latkes, hand made noodles.
Isaac - history buff, musical theatre nerd, hates Hamilton with a burning passion. Is on the Scholastic/Quiz Bowl team, gets half of the answers wrong.
Hetty - manic pixie dream girl. Like for over a year Sam and Jay didn't know that she was a natural red head, they had only ever seen the fire engine red. They still don't know how she got the money for the hair dye. She had to wear a scoliosis brace and prefers to wear corsets still, because it takes pressure off of her spine (Bernadette Banner).
Alberta - band, show choir, and dance GURL, Sophie was paying for private lessons - ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary. She's either in rehearsal or in a show.
Flower - Spanish is her first language when she gets flustered she switches back, her parents immigrated when when she was 4. Sophie adopted her so she wouldn't be sent back to Chile.
Pete - solidified the sibling bond between all of them. He makes dad jokes, because his dad did and that's how he remembers his parents.
Trevor - is also having big issues feeling disconnected from his culture. He bonds with Sass over this, Sass would take him to Temple when Sophie forgot.
Adoption order and ages when they were adopted using the ages you are giving them - Thor (5) and Hetty (2) (10 years ago), Sass (9) (5 years ago), Alberta (7) (4 years ago), Flower (6) (4 years ago), Isaac (10) (3 years ago), Trevor (6) (2 years ago), Pete (8) (last year).
