You can grieve what it was and still accept what it is.
May Allah ﷻ keep our hearts grateful in both victory and defeat.
may you attract someone who treats you like they’ve been waiting their whole life to find you
god gave me the power of losing interest in 0.1 seconds
What is Islam?
Islam means total submission to Allah (Exalted be He) through belief in His Oneness, and showing subservient and servile obedience to Him.
The Arabic root word "Aslama" means to show submission and surrender to someone and obey his commands.
Accordingly, Islam means surrender and submission to Allah's Will by means of believing in His Oneness, being devoted to Him, obeying His commandments and abandoning what He has prohibited.

my first advice to someone who wants to be a better worshipper of Allah, is not to leave sins —- i've tried that, when your heart is too attached to disobedience and sins you need an attachment that's stronger to make you quit something, what i did was do more good, pray longer, read quran more often, learn more duaa, send prayers upon the prophet more often, then your heart will slowly change on its own, i grew hateful of sins, just the thought of something that displeases Allah disgusted me, i felt my heart so attached to Allah that no pleasure could disturb that.
asking yourself to quit something you're so in love with, with nothing to replace it with is almost impossible, and you can't understand it, you will constantly wonder why i'm doing this why i'm struggling why don't i just do what i want -whatever sin-—- so it'll probably not work if you don't strongly believe in, and understand why you're trying to change.
my point is, take a step, and Allah تبارك وتعالى will push you closer to the goal.
