me writing remi/reina hits me SO fucking hard cause like... GOD... i need people to understand the intimacy that these two have. because its not that fairytale that people WANT to see. but dear god i literally CRY over them and whenever i write their dynamic.

Remi legit watched her suffer. he did NOTHING to save her. he just watched. But.... BUT... in doing so. he let her have her own identity. He let her experience her own destiny. on her OWN terms. And, quiet frankly, thats more than anything he could have given her.

Remi didn't give her what she thought she wanted. he gave her what she needed. And she's BETTER for it.

i hate to admit it, but i think i've been done with tumblr for quite a while now. i'm finally going to just cut myself loose.

i spent such a long time in denial. after rping here since 2014, finding my long-term partner, and making some of the best friendships i've ever had, i kept banking on the rpc here to be the place that i could come back to, where i could let go of all of my stress and just enjoy writing and being surrounded by people that i love seeing on my dash. when i discovered the tumblr rpc, i was in the process of rediscovering myself after i had practically committed social suicide irl, and i took extreme solace with the headway i was making here. i was so headstrong and stubborn about it, i never realized that, so many years down the road, things were changing for the worst. my favorite parts of the rpc became strict, elitist, cliquey, toxic, intimidating — it really felt like we all grew up and bared their our fangs. even among the people that i love and cherish, i began to feel like i had to watch my back and walk on eggshells, and things became uncomfortable. all of this to say ... i've had enough. i love writing, truly and dearly. i came back here in march of last year after taking a year-long hiatus from writing altogether. i thought the problem was with me all this time, and it isn't. i'm growing up and learning that being here gave me some of my best years, but also some of my worst. i love this place and i love you guys, and i'm letting go.

i don't know what i'll do about my blogs yet. i may convert them into a mini-hub to host my characters for discord rp. i may quit rp altogether if i can't find another place that's suitable for myself. i had the worst weekend of my life and i am struggling to cope more than ever, but when it's time, i will pick writing back up, but it won't be here. it cannot be here, and i don't need the thought of trying to return just sitting at the back of my mind. i'm so sorry, but thank you for being there, and for taking part in my life, no matter how big or small your role was. i'll still be available on discord and i'll peep my ims for anyone who wants to keep in touch.

is it a mystical feeling? hands woven with — an angel, a god, — that which has loved her for her many lives, and loves her once again. it is hard to tell; between the rush of adoration and excitement that traverses the range from her heart to her fingertips, and the power that remauriel bears as a transcendent being, both could be called magic in their own way. eyes blink down, almost bleary. everything about today has been so mundane that even she feels giddy about being in the sights of dearest remauriel, a blessing, an ethereal warmth that fulfills some part of her that she had never been able to describe before.

reina is surprised, honestly. in most cases, people did not go out of their way to learn the craft after expressing their ignorance on it. there is a certain amount of excitement, joy, that comes of it. the tea master herself could have been the one to teach nicole and she would not have minded, but she feels better knowing that at least nicole's father could lend some knowledge where it was due. a smile, as genuine as it is pleased, sweetens up at the sight of the box that she presents.

is she doing it wrong, she wonders? vogue magazines and online articles dictate the supposed laws of flirting, of growing closer to one's partner, all things that are vastly unnatural to reina. wrapping her arm around his, even daring to press more of her body against his arm. touching his hair, his jaw, beautiful features that impart an ability to drive her crazy on a lonely night. she should not be greedy, she knows, but even she wants to find ways to lure his attention.

at a loss for words, fingernails pick at the splits and thorns of the aged wood, wincing when she manages to carve away a piece that digs into her skin. " i don't know. " and that is always how reina has always been — longing for something, but never able to put a finger on exactly what it is. a wanderer by heart, yet stranded on an island that she has confined herself to.

" in her military days, it was common to seek comfort in the bared arms of other woman; she cannot imagine that she would dare to ask such a thing of salvatore. not when he is being kind and genuine, company to one's heart rather than one's body.       when compared to the other's lack of by prying eyes of her peers, V's own sense of unchained freedom felt like a cruel privilege; a bit unfair, even. the man has no home, family or friends to polish anything in himself for. he was living, sure, but that is all. Reina appears to have a reputation in this town; one she cares enough about to put in the effort to maintain, and he was involved now to make it all the more convincing for herself and others. even if she were to dismiss him right here and now, he'd probably insist, having nowhere that is promised to withdraw safely. vacant shelters don't always have running water, you know. at least here, maybe he could secure a deserved session in the sweltering confines of a shower - and also not worry about turning his back for a second just to be caught and thrown out on his ass by an angered landlord. she doesn't even know it, but a truth in his reason for sticking around as long as possible is a bit selfish. he could lie and say it was for her benefit and hers alone, but V wasn't being given the short end of the stick here either: home cooked meals, a bed to sleep in.. what more could he gain from this? in due time, maybe, could he see more possibilities to squeeze out of the situation while it's fresh.

reina is, perhaps, too naive for the offer that she gives V; but he has been good to her thus far, always seeming to have her best interests in mind. she eases more into feeling of his presence within the floral, tea-scented walls of her home, letting her shoulders finally fall to rest whilst thinking that it's better not to be so tense around a friend, especially when he's going to be staying a while. following his eyes, gaze trails further into the house. better not to stay in the doorway either. " i'll show you around. " edges of her lips push into a smile; albeit slightly forced, she wouldn't have invited V here if she didn't want him to be here.

pushing herself away from the wall, reina motions for him to follow along. the space does not claim to be large by any means; plants adorn corners and shelves, in fact, making it feel like one could be hugged by the home itself. a maneuvers the hall in socks, her steps near-silent as she leads him into the living room. " the living room is pretty much central to everything in the house, so you can't get lost. that's the kitchen — my room is this door, and the one over there is yours. " her explanation for the layout of the house is rudimentary at best, and as she continues her rundown, it's clear that she has never really had guests in her home before, other than her own family. " to be honest, i didn't think that the guest room would ever see a soul, so i'm glad that you're here to change that. "

it's a little funny — reina had invited @mythcaels ( and summer, by extension ) over to her place to hang out. the plan was to bake some cookies to enjoy over a movie and some tea; but things never go as planned with theo. his charisma drags her through a wormhole of conversations, both deep and nonsensical. between the two of them, it just makes sense to let the time fly away; and fly it did, seeing how the arms on her kitchen's little clock seemed to jump from one side to the other. she does not notice until the smell of smoke trails into the living room, where they had been hanging out for some time. theo catches the bitter scent just as quickly as she does, and it quickly dawns on her. " ah!? not the cookies! "

she stands in a hurry, chair thrown back behind her as she rushes over to assess the damage. summer is already opening the windows as she opens the oven, the smell of sharp, angry smoke stinging her eyes. oh, they're unsalvageable. pulling out the tray, she haplessly blinks down at the smoking discs of coal. " no ... they're so toast. " feet pad over to theo, showing the burnt cookies to him with a mixture of shock and guilt. " we must not have heard the timer ... ? damn. time to remake them. "

There's a gentleness of Salem's fingers brushing Reina's hair behind her ear. There's a warmth in those crimson hues that slide to meet her girlfriends gaze. Her pale cheeks hold a pink hue to them and her painted black lips are curled into the softest of smiles. Reina brings all these emotions to Salem, she brings out all this gentleness and warm feelings.

She slowly leans in, long lashes fluttering as dark lips meet such soft ones she loves so much. She loves the feeling of her lips against Reina's own, she loves the warmth of Reina's cheek in her hand as she cups it and she loves the way her heart thunders in her chest. It's everything to her.

the kisses that salem gives her are so, so different from others. there is beauty, passion, and the haunt of pain and exasperation in-between, feelings that are on the mend as they continue to develop and hone their love for one another. the kiss is patient, undemanding, yet full of every word in her heart that could be written into a theatrical poem. reina leans into the contact; few times does she claim to know warmth — but with with salem, her heart seems to radiate heat like never before.
