The Descent. After registering with the Smiling Skulls Adventuring corp. Xaer, Pages, Bran, Nyx, and Lucy have met and tentatively named themselves the Bumbling Fools in a hurried state of panic. This newly minted party of unlikely friends now descends into the basement of the Adventuring Guild where they find a small provisions outpost set up around an ever fluctuating portal that will send them to their next job.Â
The Encounter. After being sent away from her homeland in an attempt to protect her from an oncoming war, a young gnome finds a new friend.
The adventurers of Kohlrabi having a little trouble with their cart. This was an assignment where I had to make an advertisement for a company or product, so I went with Google Maps and used my players’ characters from my D&D campaign. Left to right it’s Xaer, the Myconid, Lucy, the Awakened Spider, and Pages, the Kenku.
It’s a bit late, but here’s a stylized self portrait for my illustration class. We had to do a personal narrative, so I went with a Halloween theme, which turned out pretty good in my opinion.
Had to make an illustration for class as part of an advertisement for something, and this is what I came up with. I think it’s fun and I’m relatively pleased with how it turned out, but I wish I could have come up with a better background is all.
A set of 3 D&D themed post card selfies from various dangerous places in the Forgotten Realms. Mr. adventurous here just can’t wait to scare his relatives back home. :P I’ve been watching a lot of Acquisitions Incorporated - The “C” Team, and I really wanted to make a Beestinger kid, so here’s Williby Beestinger. He recently found a magic item which he has been using to capture images of himself in horribly dangerous places to mail back to Rosie. Hoping she enjoys them.
Last week’s illustration assignment for class. We had to choose a movie or video game and make a poster of it without “making it look too much like fan-art”. I sketched out a few different ideas ranging from osu! to Overwatch, but this one wound up being the most interesting. Making an illustration for a game without art was fun because there weren’t any wrong answers and it was impossible to make typical fan-art of it because nobody has made fan-art of minesweeper (go figure :P). But I enjoyed the process and am pleased with this piece.
The illustration this time around was to do a portrait. Kind of open-ended, so I decided to do one of my classmates. I pulled in some themes of Art Nouveau since I haven’t seen that style done on a guy, and I enjoy what I came up with. I may mess with the colors some more in the future, but I’m satisfied with it for now.
Here is the last assignment I had. We had to listen to a conversation podcast called Beautiful Anonymous and make an illustration based off of one of the episodes. So I listened to an episode about a deaf dorky guy who called in with a translator who talked about how he listened to their podcast and it was a really neat concept. So I made this illustration based on the idea that he’s deaf and likes star trek, kinda simple, but still solid. Link to the episode in question: http://www.earwolf.com/episode/deaf/
Updated Cloud Family. I took out the circles and smoothed out the color a bit.
These are my cloud people. They’re a set of 3 spot illustrations for my Advanced Illustration class, and from left to right we have Sad Cloud, Happy Cloud, and Grumpy Cloud (ft. Cloudette jr. in hand).  I had a blast working on them, they are just so fun and colorful. Please be kind to them.
This is the project I did for my animation final. We had to make a 3 minute animation that focused on the theme of goodbye, and this is what I came up with. It was stressful to find an idea that was obtainable in the time provided, but once I chose a song and came up with this idea the repetitive animation work wasn’t so bad.
Worked on this for Illustration class but switched to another thing. I call it King of the Castle. The assignment was to take a fortune from a fortune cookie and make an illustration around it, and mine said “Try your best to listen to your elders and superiors” And that tends to be a saying that only an elder or superior would say, so I took that idea and dove into it from a kid’s point of view.
