Bull Moon Rising by Ruby Dixon
This book comes from the author of Ice Planet Barbarians. Aside from being recommended to read this book, the bright colors of this book caught my attention. I don’t have many books with this color palette, so it’s nice to add it to my bookcase.
Aesthetically, I like this book.
The dust jacket features blue foil along the outlines of the characters. The title and author letters are blue foil with some shimmering flecks that proved to be challenging to capture on camera. Removing the dust jacket shows a pink hardcover freckled with blue foil stars. The spine detail is a great choice in my opinion. It’s a shift from the spines that normally have some type of color foiled lettering. However, it is just a color foiled copy of what is on the dust jacket.
As far as I am aware, this is the standard hardcover edition that is available in most places where books are sold.
A comment on the inside: I am not a fan of how the chapters flow into one another. It is a seamlessly flow style that means sometimes the ending of one chapter will be on the same page as the next chapter. I shared a picture of the chapter 2 title almost midway on the page. The above blocked out text is from chapter 1. There are some cases where chapters align at the top of a fresh page.
Note: I am not paid for any advertisement, I am simply sharing what books look like without their dust jackets.
