Well… I’m still alive. I just haven’t been writing anything… I have ideas. I think I just lack the focus.

I have a long distance boyfriend now… it’s a little ridiculous. My family all smile and nod like they’re humoring me. Trust me, I dismissed the idea as ridiculous for months. But then I traveled overseas to meet him in person and… it was wonderful. It’s been almost a year now. Holy shit! I didn’t even realize that until I typed it. It’s been ten months officially.

Now, my struggle is culture-based. He’s Chinese. Like, very Chinese lol. Iykyk. If you don’t… well I don’t think I can go into specifics right now because I’ll be typing for hours haha

Anyhow, I haven’t been writing. I miss it. My must is still infatuated with Betty and Sweet Pea. I still get ideas. But I just don’t sit still alone and focus… maybe today.

RL update…

I haven’t written a word in ages. Writers block turned into distraction and now I have a boyfriend - who lives in China. Omg what have I gotten myself into? 🫣😂

Yes, I’ve gone to visit him once and I’m planning another trip. He doesn’t have the means to travel yet. A visa to the US is incredibly difficult to obtain. Sigh.

Sweet Pea Riverdale Episodes Re-watch: 9/35: S02E12

Betty is web-camming in her ugly black wig when she’s interrupted by her mother. Jug and Betty get suspended from the Blue and Gold for Jug’s article about General Pickens. Betty and Jug have a conversation about their other intimate activities with others.  Sunnyside RV gets eviction notices. SP is in the background of the Wyrm when FP asks if anyone is responsible for beheading the statue. Jug and Tall Boy blame each other and FP breaks it up. Jug goes to Betty for help because of the missing head lol. Ha! Penny Peabody returns with an ultimatum. Serpents will vote: her or Jug.

Oh! I just recognized Betty’s dress. This is THAT episode… Betty and Jug reconnect and their mutual admiration is obvious. They discover that Tall Boy beheaded the statue. Betty accompanies Jug into the Wyrm to confront Tall Boy. Tall Boy is exiled. Afterwards, Jug and Betty are alone in the trailer. Jug takes a chance and invites her to stay. Lovely scene…

Betty comes home to horror: Her mother is cleaning up a dead body.

Thoughts: I'm not enjoying this rewatch. I want reminders of the plot surrounded Betty and Sweet Pea but damn, I just get annoyed by the rest of it. Has it not aged well? Riverdale is fanfiction of the Archie Comics and, ugh, I don't like it. I may kill myself when I get to season three because I barely got through it when it aired.

Season 3 is sentient cocaine. Seriously. //shudder//

There is a moment where SP is behind Betty in the Wyrm while the Serpents confront Tall Boy - it sparks some a/u thoughts... Hmm!

Sweet Pea Riverdale Episodes Re-watch: 8/35: S02E11

Short scene of SP shooting hoops with the basketball team; he shoulders Reg to the ground lol. Chic is staying with the Coopers. Betty tells Chic she has crescent moon scars in her palms. Kevin tells Betty he recognizes Chic as a ‘webcam boy’. Note: Does anyone else think ‘The Ram’ is a poor choice of nickname for a wrestler? (It’s Hiram’s and it made me lol). Jug makes waves writing about the Native American history of Riverdale. Betty is fascinated by web-cam culture. She confesses to Chic that she wants to understand the darkness inside of herself. The Serpents march on the Picken’s Day celebration in silent protest, masking tape over their mouths; Sweet Pea and Fangs flank Toni. Chic explains to Betty how web-camming is an escape for him and she asks him to show her. The state of Pickens is beheaded and the finger pointed at the Serpents.

I’m so annoyed with all storylines that don’t include Sweet Pea right now hahaha. This Archie the Wrestler crap just bugs me.

Useful writer fodder from this episode? SP playing basketball, the image of SP with tape over his mouth lol and Betty learning about web-camming as an outlet for her inner darkness.

RL crap...

This is...embarrassing.

I've fallen down a TikTok hole and I'm not sure I want to get out.

Two weeks ago, I started seeing groups of young men dancing in my FYP. They seemed to be taking turns like they were in a contest or something. One day, I finally stopped to watch and try to figure out what was going on.

The one I stopped on was totally entertaining. There were four cute, young men taking turns dancing. If you gift them a certain amount, they will do a solo dance for you. They play some games. They interact with you and thank you. It's very cute - very much catnip for lonely women. I discovered that if you gift MORE, they serenade you. (squee lol)

There was one young man who wasn't getting any gifts, so I started sending him some. Turns out, when you gift enough for a solo, they actually follow your account from their individual account.

Here it is, two weeks later, I have a favorite dancer. He is SUPER SWEET. We message a LOT. It can be manipulative but I am aware of it. I may be putting him through college but idc. Lol

He's adorable, he's hot, he's so so sweet to me - sweeter than he needs to be, tbh.

Tonight? Two hours after his show ended, he messaged me good night, he was going to sleep. Unnecessary but omgggg, it made my whole night. It's funny, we talked about messaging after hours - he said he doesn't do that with anyone else because his time off is sacred to him. (Or maybe that's just him manipulating me.)

Logically, I know it's in his best interest to keep me happy. The more gifts I send him, the more he earns. However... we've had some really fun interactions. Yesterday, he had me laughing in public! It's difficult to believe there isn't genuine connection...

He asked to connect with me on WeChat (Chinese social media) but I'm finding it extremely difficult to get my account verified. Found someone on Reddit who will do it for $15. Yeeesh. Idk. Not sure what I'm opening the door to with that. He said it was 'to better facilitate conversation' lol he has to use a translation software. He got a kick out of it when I sent him some Chinese yesterday.

Oh! Yeah... He's Chinese. In China. And 22. *facepalm*

Was reading summaries of the Riverdale episodes that Sweet Pea is in for some inspiration and his poor character... Wtaf were the writers thinking?

He gets dumped by Josie, hooks up with her later, and then follows her out of town, leaving his gang like they meant nothing?

NEVER FUCKING HAPPEN.

Man, that pisses me off. I MUST write more fanfiction for Sweet Pea to make up for this injustice. His character deserves soooo much better.
