Viking sword with beautiful decorations.
The extreme nature of the ornamentation on this sword, combined with the unusual (for Scandinavia) motifs coupled with the apparent lack of a fuller (lenticular, ‘grooveless’ sword blades being a common hallmark of swords from Constantinople) may indicate that this sword was manufactured in Byzantium and may have belonged to a Varangian Guardsman or may have been gifted to a Nordic person held in esteem by the Romans Read more: http://sword-site.com/thread/1066/ornamented-lenticular-viking-byzantine-manufacture#ixzz40SiXOPHc 11-12c AD

Art Nouveau ring, 1905.
Special large leather journal adorned with genuine lizard leather straps, deep embossing and hand tinted leather for the fine collectors among you. Blank book is in 8 x 10 inches size, thickness around 3 inches and has 350 leaves (700 pages) of cream toned paper in 100 gsm paper weight. The inside cover - endpapers are marbled parchment which gives it a nice touch. The aged paper edges all contribute to that authentic vintage look. More pictures of this book can be seen on the link below: https://alexlibrisbookart.wordpress.com/2016/12/08/the-book-of-shadows From customer reviews: “… and the paper, while listed as 100 gsm, is absolutely not bleed-through at all - I’ve used a fountain pen, a quill with India ink, and even a Sharpie!!!!” “The book is of an unparalleled quality; the lizard leather detail is amazing and the paper inside, though only 100gsm is very high quality that can be used with pencil or ink…” ____________ www.alexlibris-bookart.com

Being on a spiritual path does not prevent you from facing times of darkness. But it teaches you how to use the darkness as a tool to grow.
