This is exactly what Coretta Scott King warned congress about in 1986.
Jeff Sessions will fear-monger and stoke anti-Blackness by using everything from casual racism to deeply racist stereotypes, to justify the mass incarceration of Black people for non-violent, victimless “crimes” like marijuana usage.
The Trump Administration is in full White Supremacy mode.

Twitter goes crazy over unlawful arrest of the teen who tried to sell his MacBook
the stereotype that women talk more than men is infinitely amusing to me because men are literally incapable of shutting the fuck up
i hope this post gets popular enough that i hurt a man’s feelings
It’s not a stereotype it’s a proven fact you femanazi piece of shit.
lmao there it is
You wanna talk proven facts? This shit’s been done, son: researcher Dale Spencer in Australia used audio and video tape to independently evaluate who talked the most in mixed-gender university classroom discussions. Regardless of the gender ratio of the students, whether the instructor was deliberately trying to encourage female participation or not, men always talked more—whether the metric was minutes of talking or number of words spoken.
Moreover, men literally have no clue how much they talk. When Spencer asked students to evaluate their perception of who talked more in a given discussion, women were pretty accurate; but men perceived the discussion as being “equal” when women talked only 15% of the time, and the discussion as being dominated by women if they talked only 30% of the time.
Spencer’s conclusion, if I may parahprase: you only think we talk too much because you’d rather we were silent.
Don’t fuck with me, asshole, I’m a scientist.
Filed under shit I will never put up with again.
I saw @no-chill-at-all’s post and got inspired

Yes. This pleases me
Honestly tho.
Low crime rates bad for business for white-owned private prisons; they demand states keep them full
The prison-industrial complex is so out of control that private prisons have the sheer audacity to order states to keep beds full or face their wrath with stiff financial penalties, according to reports. Private prisons in some states have language in their contracts that state if they fall below a certain percentage of capacity that the states must pay the private prisons millions of dollars, lest they face a lawsuit for millions more.
And guess what? The private prisons, which are holding cash-starved states hostage, are getting away with it, says advocacy group, In the Public Interest.
In the Public Interest has reviewed more than 60 contracts between private prison companies and state and local governments across the country, and found language mentioning “quotas” for prisoners in nearly two-thirds of those contracts reviewed. Those quotas can range from a mandatory occupancy of, for example, 70 percent occupancy in California to up to 100 percent in some prisons in Arizona.
Apparently, Sanders’s popularity with young voters isn’t just some shallow fad or a cult of personality with little connection to substantive questions of politics. Young people, it seems, are taking Sanders’s ideas to heart. In one of Harvard’s polls of young people in 2014, the number who agreed that “basic health insurance is a right for all people” was 42 percent. That figure increased to 45 percent last year and to 48 percent in Monday’s poll. The share who agreed that “basic necessities, such as food and shelter, are a right that government should provide to those unable to afford them” increased from 43 percent last year to 47 percent now. The share who agreed that “The government should spend more to reduce poverty” increased from 40 percent to 45 percent. It’s rare, Della Volpe said, for young people’s attitudes to change much from year to year in Harvard’s polling, and even more remarkable for so many of these measures to shift in the same direction at the same time. For the first time in the past five years of Harvard’s polls, significantly more young people called themselves Democrats than said they were independent. Forty percent were Democrats, 22 percent were Republicans and 36 percent were independent.

We don’t want oil drilling in our lands. Our culture is at risk of disappearing; so is our language and our way of relating to the rainforest. If they put an oil well in our land, it would be like they are destroying our laboratory, our knowledge. We will fight oil until our last breath. Our spirit needs a healthy environment. In a polluted environment there are no answers. But in the jungle you can find inner peace. And the answer to many things.

Did y’all know that we’ve never apologized to Japan for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That just feels like something we would have gotten to at some point. Yikes
my ancestors were from hiroshima
Every year people meet with the US government asking for an apology for their use of agent orange in Vietnam. Every damn year they refuse
Remember when the US caught the people who ran Unit 731, the massive Japanese human experimentation camp that killed somewhere between 3000 and 250,000 men, women and children within its walls and crop-dusted nearby Chinese cities with the bubonic plague
And then we gave them all pardons in exchange for their research notes
The CIA spent millions in japan killing and undermining Japanese anarchists and communists.
This was known as the “Red Purge”.
During the postwar period of the occupation of the U.S. armed forces (1949-1950), the Red Purge enforced throughout Japan was on a scale and magnitude unprecedented in world history.
An estimated 40,000 workers were branded as “subversives” because they were Japanese Communist Party members or supporters and then purged by force from their workplaces. Therefore, they suffered extreme mental, physical and economic hardships with many experiencing difficulties finding new jobs. Some ended up committing suicide due to the unbearable distress they had to experience.
the US also knowingly killed american citizens of japanese ancestry who were in nagasaki/hiroshima at the time of the bombing (most were people who had gone to study abroad or visit family and were unable to return home when war broke out). not only has the us government never acknowledged that, but the japanese government went so far as to offer medical financial compensation to ALL hibakusha (bomb survivors) including those were US citizens, while the US government refuses acknowledgement of the mere fact these people existed.
Pretty sure “money can’t buy happiness” is meant to actually mean “don’t neglect emotional health and caring for the people in your life in the pursuit of more wealth than you need”, but instead middle-class and rich people use it to tell poor people “don’t strive to have financial security even though I have it”.
I want to give this post a hug
open. the country.
stop. having it be closed.
Yes 🇲🇽
bet they’ll cry that this is a violation of their civil rights, while also being the same people to think wedding planners and cake decorators should be allowed to refuse service to same sex couples.
