Lucy watched the man closely, his expressions more of a tell than his words. The mage liked to consider herself considerate, at least towards others, and a generally decent person at reading the mood. This man - he called himself Willum - seemed appreciative that she’d changed the topic and therefore she decided to keep down that path. Everyone had things they didn’t want to talk about. Everyone had scars, just some were obviously more visible to others than most. It’d taste a lie in her mouth to say she wasn’t curious about the mark, but it wasn’t a curiosity she could allow herself.
“There’s no need to be so formal with me. My name’s Lucy - Lucy Heartfillia, and yes I’m a mage too.” There was always something refreshing about meeting another person in Hive City with magic, though there was always the root knowledge that their version of magic and the things she knew were far from being the same. Had Daylen said something about schools and branches? Was this person of that same type, or was he like her? Conversation would allow her to find out.
“I’m a Stellar Spirit mage, who specializes in summoning.” Even with one key she could and would consider herself such. Lucy had long moved past sulking and lamenting - she was on the path to reunions with her friends. “How about you, if I may ask in return.”
Willum gave a soft, short laugh as she mentioned his formality, and his head dropped with a thoughtful smile. "It's a bit of a habit." He had, after all, wanted to be the noble son his father sought, and even when the goal of his approval had vanished with the reveal of his own magic, falling back on formality had kept him on the good side of the Templars of his Circle.
"My friends often tell me the same thing." His expression softened as they came to mind, a flicker of worry in his eyes. How would the Inquisition stand without him, he knew he wasn't it's sole driving force, but he was the one with the only means of closing the rifts. Clutching his staff he cleared his through and push concerning thoughts away, dwelling did nothing.
With the new topic, Willum smiled as she mention a specialization he was unfamiliar with. Of course he was always interested in learning about new forms of magic. Summoning didn't often suggest clean magic, however. "Do you summon spirits?" There was a touch of concern in his question. He hoped this was something like necromancy, less like blood magic. Though he tried to look at blood magic fairly, it was difficult to shake the fear and caution conditioned into that topic by the Circle.
"I'm a Knight Enchanter, though I do have an affinity for lightening in regards to the elements." He didn't bother mentioning the basic magics and others he dabbled in.
