i’m just spitballing here, but listen, what if zuko...was a gay man...and sokka...his loving bisexual husband...and they lived long and happy lives together and raised izumi in a loving home and learned to garden and splashed each other with water when they went to the beach and every morning when zuko got out of bed first, sokka pulled him down for a kiss before going back to sleep?? just throwing some ideas out there.

just bouncing some ideas off of this but, what if their marriage was a treasured symbol of healing and unity between the nations... and they travelled around the world, bringing aid and resources to all, establishing a new era of peace and love.... and what if their daughter became the living embodiment of their hopes for the future... an heir not to an empire, but to a dream, to the belief that this world could recover stronger after 100 years of war and imperialism... a firelord who carries her fathers’ legacy within her and does all she can to help others... and who works diligently underneath a portrait of her family, the smiling watertribesman and scarred, but loving firebending prince? just a thought.
