HE KNOWS WHAT EVERYBODY in the club is thinking : is that an anthropomorphic tree sitting at the bar? is it an Avenger? man, they’re just letting aliens in all the places now, aren’t they? Groot does his best to ignore them and their stares ; this planet hasn’t exactly had the best track record with alien visits as of late, so he can’t really blame them for being nervous. He’s not sure why he let Stark coax him into coming here tonight- especially since he’d been whisked away early on in the night, leaving Groot to fend for himself.

TO THINK THAT HE’D LAUGHED at more than one animal who had gotten their head stuck in a place they couldn’t get it back out from. Now, here he was, among them. Disgraced. Ashamed. Utterly stuck halfway through a jagged hole in the fence to which he had seriously misjudged the size. Well, stuck so long as he didn’t want to break it further than it already was. Groot sighed, pushing futilely at the side of the fence, but the leverage just wasn’t there.

IN ALL HIS MONTHS SPENT on Earth, this has to be the first time he’s ever been attacked with- a vacuum cleaner? Well, it’s certainly a little more high-tech than that, but he can’t see what function it could possibly be serving, other than to potentially clean him of any loose, dead twigs.

WHAT? It’s not as though he can drive a car. And even if he did have a licence, there isn’t exactly a company that manufactures with eight-feet-tall plant beings in mind. He has to wait for the bus just like every other person currently milling about in the queue area with him-- most of whom give him a wide, wide berth... but some are looking at him curiously, and a few even seem friendly. He waves at one he thinks he's seen waiting her before, smile broad as he gestures out towards the street, generously empty of any busses.
