I’m absolutely terrible at these sorts of things but hey, hi, I’m Jake👋🏻 I figured it’s time to put a face to the company and let everyone know that I’m actually a person and not just some robot.

There’s no glorious backstory of my ancestors coming to me in a dream or quests ending in finding a wizard in a mountain that tells me I’m the chosen one—but I’m a witch, regardless. Blame my genetics (pretty sure my grandmother on my mother’s side was a kitchen witch herself). I’m also the owner and sole operator at the moment of my small business, Unholy Chapel Oddities. Running a one-man business isn’t the easiest but I make do 🧟‍♂️

Just a sweet little reminder that for everybody that talks shit and wants me to go kill myself over what I sell as an ODDITY SHOP, realize this:

I am a human, I do have feelings, I have emotions, and I am sick of people acting like just because you don’t agree with something I post, that you are entitled enough to shit talk and try to drag me over it instead of being an adult and scrolling past it like anyone else with a functioning brain would do.

I have tried to commit suicide three times in my 29 years of living, I have scars from slicing my arms open. I also have scars from trying to hang myself from a belt that broke.

So I hope you think about that long and hard before you continue trying to drag me and treat me like I am less than a human being.

If you really have that little of a life that you feel the need to try to tear other people down behind a fucking anonymous Tumblr account, maybe you should pull the stone out of your own eye before you complain about the salt grain in mine.

And yes! I use Instagram more than I do this fucking rotting cesspool of a site, so my hashtags are ALWAYS the same no matter what I post.

I can’t get over how adorable these beans are 🥹 we have three left!

They were sustainably sourced from a stray that was unfortunately hit by a car, we do not cull animals nor support those who do for the sheer purpose of making them into oddities/profiting from them.

My purpose is to give the lost and unloved a way of being cherished and remembered long after they’re gone from the mortal world.

So for those who know me, know that I had my car (possibly) totaled in a wreck Saturday morning in St. Clairsville, Ohio on the way to an event I was vending at. I was struck in the front driver side quarter panel by a driver who was speeding through a blind hill/corner.

I run a small oddity shop, both online and vending at events and Uber to supplement my income when sales are too low to survive on, so this has thrown a massive wrench into my life at this point.

I will know Tuesday morning if my car is totaled or fixable, which either was isn’t going to be an easy job for me to deal with. If it’s fixable, I will be paying a $2,000 deductible for the repairs before my insurance kicks in. If it is totaled, I will (hopefully) get the car paid off (I still owe 15k, just bought the Explorer in June of 2020)—but will be SOL for another set of wheels due to the fact I have literally no safety net or emergency fund at the moment.

Those who know me also know how gutting this is for me to have to ask for others’ help also, because I was raised to be self sufficient and to make sure I could take care of myself, and well…. I feel like I’ve failed royally at that right now. Shop sales have been at an all time low, winter is coming fast, and now this happens.

This is Douglas. He’s my latest project, and a personal one as well, although some of his organs will be available as wet specimens.

Douglas was found on my Ubering rounds today, he was struck by a vehicle hard that it broke his top front teeth and displaced his left eye from its socket.

Douglas also had a full stomach when he was hit, he was most likely trying to cross the busy street he was found on to get back to the trees on the other side of Spring Rd.

Are animals lives so worthless to you that you can’t slow down so they can live another day?

Please, slow down so little animals can cross the road or get out of it safely.*

And for fucks sakes, stay the hell off your phones when you’re driving too! I’ve almost gotten rear ended twice today because negligent drivers think what’s on their phone is more important than keeping eyes on the road.

*Please also be aware of your surroundings when you brake for small animals, don’t brake or swerve if it will cause you to get into an accident or cause yourself harm.

The coyote is doing what is in its nature, we encroached upon its space and it’s going for an available food source. Honestly, I don’t get on here too much so I haven’t noticed anything majorly different, I do a lot of my promotions and posting on Instagram, just because it seems like Tumblr has gotten very toxic lately

I shouldn’t have to disclose my indigenous roots to an anonymous stranger on the internet, but YES. Just to show you’re an asshole, I will.

I am Chickasaw on my father’s side and have a very watered down lineage of Iroquois on my mother’s side (her great grandmother was mixed, Iroquois and Caucasian which is why watered down is the word I use), mixed with Scottish and some other backgrounds.

I’m a mutt, yes, but don’t go assuming and attacking when you know nothing of the person either.

Now, since it’s obvious your panties are in a twist over assumptions, kindly go sit the hell down somewhere until you learn to have the courage to not hide behind anonymity :)

These shadowboxes are made with authentic Bible pages stained with human blood (my own, tested and free of blood borne diseases) and sealed before setting cicadas (brood X and regular green ones) or black cat bones on them.
