it’s all fairly minimalist, mostly out of necessity rather than aesthetics. her apartment is small (smaller than she’d like), though she’d refer to it as cozy rather than the more appropriate term of tiny. most of her extra curricular business happens in the living room, so she does her best to keep it tidy, and given that it’s usually only her it’s a simple enough task. it’s not exactly like she owns much stuff - most of her belongings are tucked away in storage, and the things she didn’t think (at the time at least) were vital were tossed out long ago.

♡ - romantic headcanon

romance is usually the furthest thing from her mind, though flirtation is a useful tool to keep in her arsenal. when she’s actually interested the whole thing becomes pretty icy very quickly; sarah’s never been all that sure with how to process the whole f e e l i n g s thing. sometimes it’s just easier to shut that shit down before it becomes a disaster. disasters she tends to run from. running - that’s something she’s good at.

♥ - family headcanon

she gave up contact a few years back. her dad walked when she was young, and her mother’s been a train-wreck ever since. when the chance for college came around she lept at the chance, fleeing cross-country and she all but vanished once she graduated. sometimes she sends christmas cards, and sometimes her mother replies.

most of the time there’s nothing. it’s easier that way.

∇ -. old age/aging headcanon

terrifying, plain and simple. the idea that life - in all it’s unpredictable swells and falls - comes to a sort of helpless end makes her feel sick to her stomach. she’d like to avoid it all if she could. in the meantime she’s just living as well as she can.
