Oh! Vulnerability. One I had started but quickly removed because I wasn’t thrilled with how it was going. But I want to rewrite it, plot it out, and get it up. It was about The Dark Ones secret daughter, one he only ever told Belle about. And it was told both as a story of her growing up in the dark castle and one where Emma was trying to uncover who this girl in Storybrook with no memories was, but I hit a snag there. So maybe this is a sign to start unsnagging it!

So as much as Ilya likes being domesticated, I cannot believe that man has given up clubbing. He's been a little clubrat since he was able to get in the door of Moscow clubs at way too young of age.

Ottawa has a fuckass nightlife but whenever they're in a city with good clubs Ilya goes out and drinks and dances and at the end of the night (the agreed upon negotiated time) Shane shows up and Ilya "picks him up" then they go back to the hotel for nasty hook up sex.

For Ilya this feels like having his cake and eating it too. He gets to be his sleazy clubrat self, then he gets to take home the hottest man in the club and have nasty sex with him, then he gets to end the night snuggled up in his husband's arms.

"Why do you buy books when the library is right there?"

Because publishing houses will not continue printing paper books if libraries are their only customers.

Also, I like being able to read at my leisure and generally have books at hand.

#public libraries are good because they let people access books they might never otherwise read#private book ownership is good because it's Yours#physical books are good because they last a long time and again it's Yours#ebooks are good because you can fit a whole library into the physical space of a single book and they're cheaper to produce#audiobooks are good because they're accessible to people with eyesight or visual reading issues and leave your hands free#in conclusion: all books are good and people should enjoy them however and whenever they can#(lest it be misunderstood I agree with you completely OP I just also really like books in general and it got away from me)

I will occasionally see people bashing The Evils of Consumerism re:books - I have seen people saying things like "Well, I know is a bad habit of buying new books-".

Profit margins in publishing are really thin. Even if I'm not reading it RIGHT NOW, I do want the publisher to keep publishing the series!

Libraries are great, but if you have the money to buy books it is also great to support the authors you like!

Sales determine what they publish in the future. If nobody buys it, they're not going to make more of them.
