mr simon "the convict - the butcher" fisch headcanons!! :-) (BloodyMary/BloodStar content included) iron lung spoilers below!!

the left (our right) side of his face is more mutated than the other half because it's closer to the heart (my excuse to make his design asymmetrical lol)

his teeth are sharper on the left side than the right side, imagine half of his mouth having rows of teeth like a shark, and the other half is normal human teeth. the teeth on his cheeks are purely vestigial

he has to be surgically removed from the Iron Lung, because he was fused to it through Blood Ocean Shenanigans. as a result he lost his left arm. in recovery, the eridians make him a new arm but he immediately requests for it to be taken off (he tries tearing it off). simon's relationship with the loss of his arm is complicated to say the least.

simon has an interesting relationship with blood. he can sense the blood in grace's body, kind of like feeling a heartbeat through skin, but he can do it without any physical contact. At first he thinks that grace's elevated heart rate is because he's scared of him. But eventually, as their relationship eases into familiarity, it secretly becomes his lullaby.

He has scales in various patches along his body, most prominent along his rib gills and neck gills. and yes he has gills. his body has adapted to being in low oxygen atmospheres :-)

his left eyesight has degraded and he is partially blind (can see only shadows with it)

simon has tally self-harm scars of everyone he's "killed", or lost personally. it's part of the same "list", because he deems it his own personal failing that he lost anyone. next to it is his convict number brand.

Im halfway through the book rn and im so obsessed it's crazy

clicking Mark’s new video and him ending it with “I can finally escape the blood ocean and curl up into Ryan Gosling’s arms” made me put my head into my hands.
