I know that tumblr gives you the platform to say anything you want and post your feelings and opinions but isn’t it weird that collectively we’ve started this culture that instead of going to someone and saying “it made me uncomfortable when you did this” or “as your friend I want you to know that I’m upset with you for these reasons” we’ve just decided that we’re going to not allow for people to address personal issues or change behaviors and we’re going to post it publicly for people that aren’t involved? I’ve read “callout posts” about people that are 100% fabricated and posts that are miscommunications between people that are just accepted as facts and spread with thousands of notes when it’s nothing more than a issue between two people that could have been sorted by having a conversation. Not everything deserves an audience. There are some things that are inexcusable and definitely are worthy of attention but this specific culture we’ve surrounded ourselves in isn’t healthy or normal.
