People rejoice and enjoy themselves during the FIFA World Cup tournaments. While I was in the hospital fighting to save my wife's life, My wife is suffering from severe malnutrition, is losing consciousness, and has extremely low blood count. She is four months pregnant, her health is poor, and she needs treatment as soon as possible.
When I see my wife suffering, in pain, and crying, my heart breaks with sorrow, and I can do nothing for her. My eyes never stop crying because I am powerless to help her or provide her with treatment. No one here is helping me. I desperately need your help; please stand by me and don't leave me alone.
I don't want to lose my wife; she means so much to me. We have a young child, not yet two years old. What did my child do to deserve to live without a mother? He cries constantly; he needs his mother's embrace and warmth. Please don't deprive a young child of his mother's love at this age.
I write these words to you with a heart filled with sorrow and pain. I write these words while crying; my tears won't stop. We are going through a tragic situation and extremely difficult circumstances. Please don't turn me away disappointed. I need your help to provide treatment quickly before it's too late.
We urgently need 650 euros to provide treatment as quickly as possible to secure medication and medical supplies for my wife, baby formula, and diapers for my young child.

a really great organization that i don't see any posts about here is HEAL palestine. it was founded by steve sosebee, who was a founding president of the PCRF before leaving in late 2023 to refocus his efforts on heal palestine to better meet the needs of palestinians impacted by the genocide. the organization provides palestinians in gaza with food, clean water, shelters, "makeshift classrooms," and even medical evacuation for some children when it's possible--their services are pretty wide.
you can donate here if you would like to send a tax-deductible donation to an organization. also, i don't think any evacuations are possible right now, but if you're in the united states and you'd like to welcome medically evacuated children in the future, i highly recommend signing up for their newsletter or following them on social media so you can stay updated in case any children evacuated by HEAL come to your area for treatment. welcoming these kids at the airport is a really moving way to provide them with moral support, entirely for free.

please, actually, get fucking mad over this, the entirety of australia basically just banned all social media for anyone who doesnt want to give up their privacy to the government, there was no vote on this, no nothing, they just went ahead and fucking passed this ridiculously privy law and barely anybody’s talking about it the actual fuck
okay so to actually explain what exactly is happening, it’s an age thing. theyve used ‘protect the children’ and ‘let kids be kids’ as a weapon again. anyone under 16 is banned from social media, but to enforce this they have openly admitted everyone will need to link their government id to their social media. this whole ‘protect the kids’ thing was a very obvious trojan horse for getting ppl to give up their privacy.
and yknow, that alone is a very shitty law even without the whole surrendering your private information to the government thing.
theyve made outside uninhabitable, there’s nowhere left to go. public areas have degenerated, theyve turned hanging out into a crime with loitering, streets feel unwalkable sometimes, parents are more wary of letting their kids walk around on their own than they used to be, and now theyre trying to ban one of the main ways kids manage to distract themselves inside the house.
when i was 15 i was depressed and lonely, unable to leave the house very far, no friends, nobody. the one place that helped me feel less alone was online communities. i wouldve killed myself if it werent for the support i recieved on there. and now theyre trying to ban that for future generations, in a world that hates them being both outside and inside.
and even still, this is still a fucking trojan horse to get you to give up your privacy.
